It doesn't slip in any gear, it's just won't shift on it's own to 2nd gear. You have to let the rpm's drop below 2000 and it will then shift. after that it will shift from 2nd to third and over drive just fine. The passing gear work ok aswell. Any ideas? It is a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 2wd
I am haveing the same issue with my 01 dodge 2500 diesel 2wd. I was told the ground to the ecm was not good enough from the factory. the ecm is located on the pass side of the fire wall on the engine bay side. you will see a ground. make another wire and connect it to the ecm.(make sure you put the otherone back as well) the other end will go straight to the ground on the battery. try that.
