If you have a rear drive line shaft (tail shaft) check the u-joints for a rust streak around the cross and cups. They u- joint goes dry and will squeak as the joint goes through the angle of drive. If you have a front shaft as well check it also. If they feel loose and show signs of rust have them replaced specifying joints with a grease nipple. If not that check the suspension rubbers or if you have neoprene or plastic bushes check them also for wear

SQUEAKY!

Petroleum will rot bushings, you may consider a car wash with and undercarriage sprayer and see if noise goes away. This may indicate a bushing problem if noise goes away. If not, ball joint probably.

Why would my 4x4 light be flashing?

Your 4x4 car may be flashing cause the emergency light button might be jammed like in my own plymoth voyager. Try removing the turning wheel cover and see if you can fix it yourself or needs replacement.

Your wheels may squeak due to an old suspension and suffer from rust, or other enviromental factors.

Squeaking nouse under car when traveling

you most likely just need a good old fashioned lube job. you have fittings in various places that need to have a grease gun used on them periodically to grease different areas of things like the suspension etc.

2005 Ford Expedition steering wheel squeaks

My Lincoln LS does that sometimes

Unrelated, but a recall on mine ,was to change the
Power Steering Fluid, which along with the trans fluid,
should be done every 3 years anyway

I think the squeak is in the column,I haven't figured it out yet,
but years ago the dealer put an additive in the P/S & fixed
the recall squeak

2001 expedition horn only makes tiny squeak, fuses are ok

Of course the fuses are OK. The horn will not make any noise at all if the fuse is blown. It sounds like you have a defective horn assembly. - replace the horn.

Rear drive shaft came off need to fix how?

The answer to this depends on exactly what happened. Typically a universal joint fails and drivers fail to get it repaired. This situation is a ROLL OVER danger, if the shaft were to fall out from the front.
Were you getting any vibrations, or squeaks lately? If the shaft has ANY damages it must be replaced as it will be out of balance and no longer true.

I need to know how to change bushings on 98 ford expedition. There is a lot of rattling in the front end (sounds like it's falling apart when driving over bumps). I know that it's the bushings, they came...

Real vague. I will assume that the noise is the sway bar frame bushings. On a bump they can sound like a large hammer hitting the frame. If I am correct, there is no trick. They are not loaded, no pressure on them. The sway links are not loud. Control arm bushings squeak, not clunk, due to the fact that they are always loaded.

Squeaking sound from shock absorbers

ball joints won't squeak like that; they make a popping noise when they're bad. it is very common for shocks to get water in them and start squeaking, and it's usually a horrible screeching squeak. The only way to get rid of the squeak is to change out the shocks. Hope this helped.
