Check the firing order for starters as 2 crossed wires give a symptom similar to yours. Have the fault codes read first as that can save you real money in finding the fault. Have a compression check done to eliminate a blown gasket between cylinders.

Are you talking about the check engine light? If so it needs to be reset with a code reader. then if it re illuminates you still have an issue.

It sounds like you have a security problem, I had the same thing it would fire and run for half of a second and then that was it if anything at all. Had the security system rebooted, now it starts and runs fine.

SOURCE: 92 GMC Jimmy Replaced fuel pressure and fuel

if you say you replaced the fuel pressure ? "regulator or pump" that was not very clear as to which so i am guessing and the filter but have no fuel to the fuel bar valve either you have no power to the pump or a clogged fuel line or a blown fuse or a short in the power suppluy to the fuel pump if you turn the key to on position without cranking it do you hear a slight humming noise if so the fuel pump is working ..if you do now hear this chances are as i stated above
the use of a test light is required to check for power to the pump as wel do you smell any gas =fuel lines are rotted .let ne know what you discover and check all your fuses

1999 gmc suburban-smoke comes out exhaust and smells like gasoline

If the check engine light is not on, I would check the fuel pressure regulator and for problems with the fuel return line.
If you have a leaking injector you should get a check engine light and code for a cylinder miss.

My 1999 suburban is missfiring on cylinder one, changed new plug, cap & rotor, wires

You seem to have covered almost everything electrical. That leaves mechanical. Either valves sticking, frozen, or spring, cam broken. Fuel line or injector to that cylinder is the only other item I can think of. Let me know how it works for you.

Have a 99 suburban its been sitting for a year and had no problems but now the engine is missing changed plugs cap and rotor but same exact problem

If it's been sitting for a year with the same fuel, drop the tank and flush it and the fuel lines completely. Also take out the fuel pump and replace the fuel pump screen and don't forget to replace the fuel filter as well. Fuel WILL go bad sitting for that long.

99 suburban missing only at idle

Hello;
Have you checked the fuel pressure? You may have a sticking fuel regulator, causing too much fuel at idle. Since it works fine off idle and cruise I would look there.
