It stands for Enhanced Traction System.
On your gearshift is a button that when depressed will either turn on, or turn off the traction system. To make it go away, just press the button.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: ETS sensor light stays lit on dash as

hi this is the Enhanced Traction System ( ETS )it is an all-speed engine based traction control system used by General Motors Corporation in many of their models. In some models, the driver has the option to disable this system by pushing a button marked "ETS". The system uses sensors to monitor wheelspin and reduces engine speed, upshifts or retards ignition timing to improve traction, have a look and see if there is a button , all you have to do then is press it and it will go off....hope this helps

2004 hyundai santa fe parked it last night, went to use it today and it doesn't accelerate, engine runs fine, no warning lights on dashboard lit, can put it in gear and move it, but absolutely no...

The 04 Santa Fe came with three different engines. 4 cylinder (2.4 lit), and two different V6's (2.7 lit & 3.5 lit). The 2.4 & 2.7 use throttle cables connected directly to the throttle plate, but the 3.5 uses ETS (Electronic Throttle System) which uses two sensors (APS & TPS) and a control module (ETSCM). APS=Accelerator Position Sensor, TPS=Throttle Position Sensor, ETSCM= Electronic Throttle System Control Module. There are different diagnostic procedures for each system.
Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc.

'ETS OFF' Light

the first thing that comes to mind is a wheel bearing/wheel speed sensor in the a.b.s. brake system. usually the abs and/or brake lite will come on also. maybe check fuses in cab and under hood just to be sure. make sure brake fluid is full. a diagnostic scanner that could access a.b.s. codes may be necessary to pinpooint problem.
