P2187 2007 pontiac solstice

Yesterday, after buying the car and filling up, the car wouldn't start until about the 6th time. Check engine light came on several hours later. Checked to make sure gas cap was tight. Took to Autozone and code is P2187. Any suggestions?

This is a fuel leak code, could be cap is leaking or may be sign of a bad fuel pump. Try replacing cap first

SOURCE: service engine soon light on

you need to put it on a computer to find what the code is such as on o2 sensor or a number of other things. once you know the codes you can fix the problem

SOURCE: check engine light came on along with check gas cap

Did u have engine codes scanned? If not, have it done, as it may indicate the problem. Let me know. (most parts stores will scan for codes free) .

SOURCE: My pontiac Montana/03 started stalling, several

this all sounds to me to be a faulty 02 sensor that regulates the fuel air flow mixture to your system it might be possible for the converter to be plugged due to excessive carbon from running rich but i would have a different opinion and further test done before you replace the converter or you might have the same problem soon again ,

SOURCE: Check engine light won't go off

if u bought it a week ago and from a dealer or used car lot bring back and advise of problem almost all dealers now have a limited warranty on used vehicles --if private bought than have scanned at an auto store most [such as auto zone/ advanced auto] scan for free check ur local area the trouble code will give u a start point towards fixing ur problem

2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE security system wont let car start

first most GM OEM systems will need to recognize the key first and foremost ,to do that you will need to roll window down on driver door, turn the key to the run position and with engine NOT running leave the key on for 10 minutes exactly ..then turn ignition off then try to start engine. if original system is working engine should start normally

How do i bleed the air out of radeator

some times there are small bleeder screws on the intake side of the radiator hose usualy right buy the termostat housing an on the return side hose the screw size 5/16 or 7mm loosen them only a few turns slow until you see a little antifreese come out mixed with air, when the air stops tighten becarefull not to losen to much the screws will blow and hot antifreeze could burn you.
If there are not bleeder screws you can try when engine is cool make sure the radiator is full and start the car with radiator cap off and let it run
long enough for the thermastat to open it will bleed as it runs just becarefull not get burnt! Fill and return rad cap and it you bleed.Sometimes you may have to acelerate a little the move the antifreeze enough to get the air out.

I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan. I got a "tune up" approx. 2 weeks ago with new spark plugs, fuel filter & air filter. It did fine driving around town & on a 130 mile trip. I filled up with...

Sounds like you got a tank of bad gas. That would easily cause your issues. Start by draining as much as you can, put a can of Seafoam in there, add a few gallons of fresh gas, drive to the gas station and tank up, and run that tank down until your gas light comes on before adding more. You may end up needing a fuel filter or plugs again, but with minimal run time on the bad gas, you'll probably be fine.

My first thought would be: If you repaired an emissions hose, take the car back to Auto Zone (or another parts supplier) and let them tell you what code comes up now. You eliminated one problem, now you have to find another.
I wouldn't do a fuel pump without more information.
