Here is a link describing your strut replacement. Autozone also has free tool rental for the strut spring compressor if you need it. Thank you, and don't forget to vote. http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c152800681ba

Check all vacuum lines for leaks. Check spark plug wires for and spark plugs that may be worn and causing idle misfire.

No you don't. When you buy the parts there should be a bolt in each box. With the tires on the ground. Look at the lower control arms with a rubber bushing on the end. You will see a bolt hole in the middle of the bushing. Put the bolt in from the bottom and screw it in. This will help keep it compressed. After that jack the car and remove the tire. Then remove the two bolts up top, then the one on the bottom. Then remove the one on the strut. And install in the reverse order. Will be a good idea to replace the upper strut plate while your in there. Don't forget to remove the retainer bolt when your tire and the car is down. Let me know if any other help is needed. I own the same car just a year younger.

You can try rotating the spark plug boot a little bit-not even a 1/4 turn-to break the seal between the plugand the boot. Then pull the boot wire off with a pliers on the metal boot shield. Once the boot has beet rotated on the plug, the shield helps to remove it.
