1998 Audi a8 Quattro is making a sound like something is blowing air or grinding under the dashboard mostly coming from driver side the noise goes away if I hold the stering wheel to the left or right comes right back when I let go ... Noise is diving me crazy ... Thanks for your feedback

no engine told of 2 in USA are you USA?
both V8 3.7 or 4.2L, sorry cant guess them.
the cars VIN number not posted so cant tell what's under hood.

the service guide shows that. buy one?
most TB have 1998 year
have 4 bolts for base mount. some a8 are 5 bolts
one TPS sensor to pull.
throttle cables for throttle, transmission and even cruise control to remove, and hoses maybe

Sound is completely normal on all Audi's.
Your A8 uses an Orifice tube to regulate the pressure between the two halves of your air conditioning system. A hissing sound is normal after a shut down as the system equalises. Usually lasts about a minute and is more noticeable on warmer days.
Location on an A8 is on the very right hand side of the bonnet just under the windscreen - that's where the hissing will be coming from.

yes remove the dash and then cut the feed on the `printed circuit abd then loop a feed from the oil light switch so it goes out when engine is started ,fools most vehicle inspectors for the annual vehicle inspection test

Follow the air duct from the air filter towards the engine. It will have wires coming from it. It will look similar to this.

All the positions will light up when you have codes in the Transmission control module. You need to have the vehicle scanned for codes.

The blower motor is in the engine compartment, closest to the firewall. It's dead center under a vented cover. The reason for water in the vents may be due to a worn out seal around the blower housing.

try putting oil in ur rear axle
