Depends on the engine, if its a M62, its under the hood, torwards the front drivers side. If it a N62, it is on the underside of the vehicle, next to the oil drain plug. Hi, the oil filter is located on the underside of the engine next to the oil drain plug usualy black in colour, hope this helps. regards mark.

now we know its ENGINE part, great.
on most cars, its on the side of the engine. to the OIL gallery main rail
on purpose.
no engine stated, you do know that jeeps are sold with many engines.

its just above the filter. on front of engine.

infact if you unplug it the sender connector will hit the filter casing.

if you need the location. for v6 its on the oil filter housing on the left of engine , for the v8 it should be on the front of the engine next the oil filter, facing forward there is two one grey one black i think the pressure sensor is black

Oil Filter Operation:

A component, located near the oil pump, that removes abrasive particles from the motor oil by a straining process as the oil circulates through the lubrication system. How To Instructions:
Inspect - Check for obvious problems.
Replace - Out with the old, in with the new.
Check underneath the car on the engine (not the transmission which has the driveshaft(s) inserted into it) It's not in the oil pan, it's located somewhere on the block. Good luck finding the oil filter on your 2005 BMW X5 Check Autozone.com's site. I was having trouble with it, unfortunately, because they were experiencing technical diifficulty with the 'oil filter' section of their site, when I clicked on 'Replace'. Autozone's website didn't have a location for it under the 'location' part of their website.

Good Evening, the oil filter on the 4.6l if you are underneath just to the drivers side passed the pulleys and such if you look up to the engine block you will see it. Hope this helps.

WHY DOES RHE THE BMW V8 OIL FILTER HOUSING LEAK

Either the filter isn't screwed all way in or there is dirt on the sealing surface that prevents a complete seal - take the filter out and clean everything in sight.

It is on top of the front differential.. On the drivers side of the engine. Hope you can find it. In front of the left side engine mount.. Hope this helps ya.. Cobra.. :-)

How do i change the oil on my 01 vw gti vr6

This engine requires synthetic oil, 5 quarts, and oil filter. Remove dip stick, remove oil drain plug at bottom of engine oil pan, remove filter housing, remove oilf filter and o-ring. Replace o-ring and filter, rub o-ring with some new oil, replace filter housing, replace oil drain plug, pour new oil in at top of engine oil cap, replace dip stick, start engine, run for 45 seconds, turn off, check dip stick to make sure oil is at correct level. You are done, recycle old oil.

You really cannot mis it. It is at the front of the engine, top center. Black can-shaped housing. Unscrew the top of the housing and replace the paper element inside.
