Re: My check engine light is on with codes PO171 and...
Hello your codes that u are getting mean both banks are running lean. And there are only so many things that it could be.lets start with things that are near free first change the fuel filter.next check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge.if u dont have one any car shop should have one. and should be able to do the test for u in a couple of minutes.for 25.00 dollars or for free.it has to be at least 35 psi.if the fuel filter dosnt fix problem.and the fuel pressure is over 35psi more like 40 psi.if not your fuel pump is no good.if over 35 psi then last but not least the fuel pressure regalator is no good.

Those codes mean your engine is running too lean - P0171 for bank 1 and P0174 for bank 2. And yes, very definitely leaving a bolt out of the intake plenum will cause a lean condition because unmetered air is getting into the engine. So you're going to need to take it apart again and reassemble it correctly - with all the bolts and connections as they were before you took it apart.
Lean bank 1 and bank 2 , and throttle actuator system fault. Check reason for lean codes 1st, vacuum leak(s), air inlet boot and hoses, or low fuel pressure / clogged filter. Repair as needed then clear codes and recheck .
Common fault is leaking gasket on intake manifold towards the back, do you have the following symptoms - uneven idle - sudden cut out on idle but starts up again with no problem? If so you will find a leak on the inlet manifold. The codes show a leak after the MAF- so this is the area to check. Hope this helps.
This might help. It looks like you O2 sencor had gone bad or the signal has and causing multiple mis fire. according to your codes.
PO171 System too Lean (Bank 1 PO174 System too Lean (Bank 2) PO300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected Causes of PO300 Fuel injectors, related wiring, sensors and computer issues Running out of gas, or poor fuel quality Evaporative emissions system (EVAP) concerns: fuel vapors leaking into engine Incorrect Fuel Pressure EGR system concerns I'ld start with chaning the O2 sensors first but sheck for bad wire connection. Hope this helps and good luck
