SOURCE: engine cuts out or bogs down when accelerating
if the engine light is flashing, it means you have a misfire in one or more cylinders. it is most likely plugs or coil wires.
mine started doing this a few weeks ago. finally got around to changing the plugs today. the cylinder order on fords is easy, passenger side from front to back is 1234, driver side front to back is 5678. my number 4 cylinder had a plug that was collapsed. the metal piece was crushed into the contact, not allowing any spark.

Thanks for your concern guy's. We did manage to fix the problem....It took us about four days of laborious work....We had to remove the harness covers and work our way backwards and forward, from the management computer, to and from the relevant 'sender unit' coolant temp, air temp, manifold pressure, lumda and oxogen sensor and from the controlled units, ie, ignition system, injection system, cooling fan set up and so on. We managed to identify the connections by following the identification labels printed onto the circuit boards.
We think that Toyota could make life a lot easier, if they used a standard wire colour coding and did not change that colour inside the loom....It is not un-common to see, as an example, a red with white tracer at one end and that may be joined to a blue with red tracer at the other end....If the loom cover is not removed and the cable inspected, you could not guess from what goes in, what will be coming out.
Hope this will be of help to someone somewhere.
Best regards

SOURCE: 1994 jeep wrangler fuel injected. when jeeps stops, it cuts off
could be the cap and rotor or the pick up in the distributor
SOURCE: engine cut while going dashboard sya injection fault
the multiport fuel injection module could be bad.check the injector pulse with a scope and make sure they are all the same.
