I have tried both sides neither will compress, i have the right tool i am applying force and rotating clockwise, handbrake is off but it will not compress at all? What am i doing wrong? Thanks
If the tool you are using does not apply pressure and spin the clip at the same time then it is an inferior tool and you will have to think of a way to apply more pressure while spinning the clip. put a drop of oil between the protective rubber boot and the piston so as to not rip it. sometimes the threads are seized and the calipers have to be disassembled and cleaned, but I doubt that this is your problem because it very rarely happens to both sides at the same time. the biggest problem is being able to apply enough pressure to the clip while it is still on the car, and I sometimes have to remove them and put them on a bench vice to retract them properly.
