There is a switch on my 2001 Suzuki Grand-Vitara next to the gear stick with the word HEAT on it, what is this switch for?. The engine is a2.0 turbo intercooler.
I have 2001 Suzuki Grand-Vitara and I have no heat. Changed the thermostat but still don't have any heat. Water levels are fine. What else could be the problem. This is a electric heat boost for demisting in winter months, turn fan on to full, heater lever to full and air controll to full. Be warned uses lots of battery power

Why do you think the ignition switch is the problem?? I would not think that would cause this, have never once seen a ignition starter switch cause this symptom in 35 years.
windows fogging up
well that takes 2 things working to do that 3 really
1: heat, you have heat. and blower works.
2: you need the dampers to work, to send a/c side air to the windshield. (it mixes heat and a/c flows)
3: the A.C must work it is the DEHUMIDIFIER PART.
i do not understand at all the sticking thing,
are you saying the controls are failing, ?
It is the Power -vs- Normal switch. In Power (P) mode, the shift points on your transmission are extended so you can accelerate quicker. The Normal (N) mode is for typical driving and will increase your gas mileage.
there should be a switch next to your automatic transmission shifter that says N, A/T, P....switch it to N and the POWER light should turn off. When the power light is on that means your car is shifting gears at a higher RPM.
