Check the oil level again - you may have a leak. Running the transmission low on oil can damage one of the internal oil pumps resulting in a lot of problems like this.

Change Oil in transfer case (AWD) make sure refill ith GM trnsfer case oil may have to be done twice to flush out old gfrease trhat the older or original oil builds up slude orbecomes harden over time Alos make sure you chane both frt & rear Differential (not the rear end oil)but you can do that to it won't hurt had similar noise coimg from mine but dealer cost a lot more i had mine down at Jiffy Lube shop and made sure they did transfer case twivce because that was the recogmendation of GM procedure .That what dealer told me but i didn't want to pay around $400.

SOURCE: Intermittent loss of engine power in 1998 olds bravada

Unhook your battery (neg terminal), let it sit for ten minutes, then start the car and let it run for two minutes without touching anything. This resets the computer, I had a Buick that required this about three times a year, fixed it every time. If this isn't your problem, is is getting progressively worse? Look at the coil, it may need to be replaced. Of course, make sure your air cleaner is clean. Do you have any codes in your computer? Go to one of the discount auto parts stores they will read it for free. Of all the sensors, it may be the mass airflow sensor, look atr this link, it is located in air delivery system connected to your air cleaner housing. If you pull it out DON'T BREAK THE WIRES IN IT, but you can sometimes clean them with denatured alcohol and a Q-tip.

SOURCE: 96 bravada replaced fuel still no start runs with starter fluid

If your getting gas and spark get an obd 2 scan tool and check your mass air flow sensor. I had the same problem. If your having a problem with this vehicle always check the computer first; it will save you tons of headaches later.

You have a bad crankshaft position sensor. When the thermostat opens on warmup, the auxiliary air pump starts up momentarily which causes a quick dip in battery voltage and drops the output from the crankshaft rotation sensor. the computer thinks the engine is not running and shuts down the fuel. If idling, engine will die, if moving sometimes will just hiccup.

What happened? My Car will not drive forward or reverse, front wheels are now locked, can't even push it.

This is a transmission related issue. If the vehicle starts but will not go in any gear you have an intrernal tranny problem. Will it move at all in neutral? Check and see if the trans fluid is at the proper level. I believe these transmissions are just drain and fill ( no filter change ) during fluid service. If the fluid level is correct and a good color, the internal differential may have come apart causing the lock up situation. If the fluid level is low ( suspect a leak especially after a service ) and low fluid will cause a no shift/drive issue

1998 toyota celica ttransmission when cold shifts ok. After warming shifts like over drive goes on and off and looses reverse

When a transmission is hot is usually when the problems are noticed. Is the fluid level low? Is it brown or black in color? Does it smell burnt? These are all indications of a problem - some worse than others. If topping off to the correct level, you may have more serious issues. You might want to have the fluid / filter serviced or changed if it has been a while - but a well neglected transmission will not likely come back to life by doing the fluid and filter service. Good luck!

2002 oldsmobile bravada jerks in reverse

Only jerks when turning? If so, you may have binding in the transmission's AWD differential.

Does it do it similarly if you drive forward in tight circles?

You might try replacing the ATF (transmission fluid) and the differential gear oil....but check your fluid levels first.

Check the Owner's Manual for where/how to check the levels.

1999 olds bravada smart trac four wheel dosent engage

Probably the transfer case encoder motor. Unplugging it at the wiring harness should make the "service awd or smart trac" light come on. This will tell you the awd controller module is probably OK. Common failure item to Bravada's. Try "thepartsladi" eBay store for lowest price motor, beware aftermarket!!! Also make sure transfer case fluid is "blue" GM Auto-Trak II only! If not bllue when checking change twice after driving for a week with blue fluid.

My 96 cherokee loses power when turning corners to sharp or laying the boot in ..??? seems ok in nuetral and reving out .. doesn't miss a beat...?? I dont think it is fuel injection problem?? I could be...

Could be low tranny fluid or clogged filter. Check all fluid levels. Could be dirty plugs too. Take them out, clean them, regap them and put them back in and try it.
