SOURCE: Power door lock won't unlock 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Sounds like the actuator went out. There normally run 40-60 for the part and does not take long to replace normally 30 minutes.

SOURCE: when i electronically lock the doors, the rear

Hello, sounds like your left rear door lock actuator is starting to go bad, nothing you can really do to fix the actuator itself. It's just gonna have to be replaced. I'd call around and get quotes for parts and labor, no one should charge you much more than a half hour(probably around 6 tenths of an our if it's a flat rate shop). Or if your pretty handy and have some tools and a good repair manual, you shouldn't have too much of an issue doing it your self... Hope this info helps...(subytech1)...

Passenger door lock makes a buzzing noise every time i lock the doors. However it does lock and unlock every time. This is a 1998 expedition

the electric part of the door lock is most likely going bad. you can replace it or wait until it stops working. it may keep working for a long time like that.

My rear door makes a buzzing noise when i lock the doors... I have a 2004 kia spectra....

This noise could be cause from the door lock actuator. If this is the Problem it will need replacement. But in most cases if the actuator is faulty the locks will jump, and not always lock on that door.

My front passenger side door lock make a buzzing noise everytime I lock it. All the doors lock but it makes that buzzing sound as it locks. What is the problem?

It's called a door lock actuator, and ours was on the driver side, buzzing each time the doors locked. Very annoying. We ordered it online, it was part #4717961AB from a Mopar company. Wasn't very easy to replace ourselves, but do-able if you have at least an hour and two people working on it. Cost us $60 plus shipping._418.jpg

Hello I have a 2000 neon and when I use the electronic lock the doors make a loud buzzing noise.

The loud buzzing noise means the electric motor that actual unlocks the door has failed or is failing. In order to repair this you need to replace them.

Master door switch? or something else? buzzes when i press lock

ok ur door lock switch isnt going out,,however ur drivers front door lock actuator is going or is already bad...have that replaced..also as far as the end noise buzz u hear , that may be ur a.b.s modulator and accumulator cycleing on and off..it may be empty and or leaking..have the a.b.s modulator and accumulator checked at the dealer..its an expensive fix... ur modulator unit in in the front left or right of the vehicle depending if u have a v6 or 4 cyl. its a square unit with a rectangular brake fluid resevroir and a long tubular cylinder (acummulator)... also identify it by the orange connectors...and the brakelines going to it...common symptom with those accords....they leak alot especially if with high mileage..

Rear Door Electric Lock buzzing and stuck

It's the power lock solenoid. There is a tiny plastic piece that connects the solenoid (motor) to the door lock mechanism (thin metal rod or two). Likely, the plastic piece has become disengaged. This is by design so that if there is a problem with the mechanism the motor does not burn out. You will need to have the interior door panel removed to gain access to the interior of the door and the lock rod and solenoid need to be reconnected. The plastic clips used to go for $1-$2 when I worked in auto parts.
