Question about 2007 Pontiac Solstice Convertible

I have had head gasket replaced in my 2007 Pontiac Solstice but I still have white smoke coming out of my tail pipe; What can be wrong???

After the car runs a while white smoke comes out of the tail pipe

Still have coolant leaving the exhaust,
means the problem wasn't diagnosed &
repaired properly

Not too many choices there

Head Gasket,intake,cracked head

Sounds like the head gasket wasn't
the only issue,something was missed
during the last reapair

Possibly a blown head gasket, letting coolant into the cylinders to be burned. White smoke is usually coolant burning. Have the engine's compression tested to verify.

You don't say what the make model and year is, but yes it could be an intake gasket.
It could also be a leaking head gasket among other things.

Smoke from tail pipe or smoke from under hood?
A general rule of thumb if it is coming from tail pipe the color of smoke will tell you a lot.

White and thick means head gasket failure, Blue means oil is being burned.

I would recommend you check the seal of everything and make sure it is cleaned that had to do with vacuum or fuel distribution. EGR valve (gasket fails sometimes) IAC valve, MAP and MAF sensors, Fuel injectors, FPR (this will need replaced if leaking),

Also check you coolant and oil look for signs of either one mixing with one another, smell you coolant and make sure it don't smell like gas either, look around where the head meets the block and make sure you don't have any coolant leaking there. The smoke if from the tail pipe makes me think head gasket and these are simple checks. They are not 100% diagnosis but can lead you to the problem.

Also one obvious thing would be make sure no one put anything in your gas tank.

I would most likely look at the injectors first then the head gasket next.

One of the main causes of white exhaust smoke and coolant loss is a cracked or warped cylinder head, a cracked engine block, or head gasket failure caused by overheating. A cracked head may allow coolant to leak into one or more cylinders or into the combustion chamber of the engine. Dirty coolant, a poorly maintained cooling system, a low coolant level, or a non-functioning cooling fan can cause engine overheating. In addition, engine wear can eventually cause the gaskets to lose their capacity to seal properly allowing internal coolant loss. Intake manifold gasket and head gasket failures are two of the most common sources of internal coolant loss caused by engine wear.

There is a very light white smoke comming from my tail pipe, but im not leaking any thing & my tempeture stays normal?

White smoke indacates water in exaust, Due to eater small hole in head gasket or head, This will get worse, good luck on it.

My blazer has white smoke coming out of the engine I just replaced the thermostat and it has transmission problems what is wrong with it?

White smoke is water or coolant being burnt in the combustion process. It usually signifies a leaky head gasket or warped heads. A compression test will tell you for sure if this is the problem. This wouldn't affect your transmission, that would be something else. Hope this helps.

If white smoke is coming out of your tail pipe is is burning antifreeze. However have it checked closely. While it could be a head gasket, the 3400 is noted for the intake gasket leaking. Have a pressure test done before you pay for something that you don't need.

Also there is a way to permanently repair the head gasket if it is a real leak as long as it still runs. Check out Barr's Leak head gasket repair and follow the directions to the letter. do not skip any thing. It works I have repair a dozen cars with this.
