The output speed sensor is located on the transmission. while standing in front of the vehicle and looking down at the transmission you will see two rubber hoses. under those hoses you will see the input speed sensor. if you look to the right of that sensor, and you may have to look from underneath the vehicle you will see another sensor that is identical to the input speed sensor. That is the output speed sensor. The output speed sensor is the one that shows how fast you are moving on the speedometer.

Where is the transmission sensor located?

The transmission sensor or speed sensor is located in most vehicle located on the transmission case. These speed sensors are driven by a gear located on the output shaft. The speed sensor's driven gear can be either machined or fastened by a clip. The driven gear is made by plastic to make it softer than the drive gear. P011 censour is boke

Generally speaking, code 11 is for the cam position sensor. Your car may have a sensor for the intake and one for the exhaust cam.
The sensor would need to be tested before it is replaced.

My saturn wont idle it has dual over head cam could it have a bad censour

It could be a defective sensor or just a sludged up throttle valve and automatic idle speed control valve, you will need to test the electronics for fault codes and clean the intake system, the web link below will show you how to draw out codes using the check engine light, after that is a procedure to clean the throttle valve and idle speed control valve.
Go here to find out how to get the fault codes:
http://www.extreme-check-engine-light-codes.com/GM%20OBD1%20Decoder.htm

Here is the cleaning procedure:
Get a can of intake cleaner (ABOUT $5.00) from any local auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest, do not use carburetor spray, intake cleaner only or u will damage the Teflon coating inside the throttle valve and air bypass valve, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

Location of speed sensor a for 99 dodge intrepid

The "Vehicle Speed Sensor" signal is generated by the transmisson output speed sensor. That is the one located at the rear of the case. It is externally mounted. That supplies "vehicle speed" info to the other On-Board Computers. The input turbine speed sensor is located just behind the bell housing area of the case. I believe the trans controller is the only module that needs that info. The Crank Position Sensor give engine RPM info and it is located on the bell housing near the engine block. I hope this helps.

Where is the speed sensor located for my 96 caprice?

Your car has the 4L60E trans, and the speed sensor is located in the tailshaft of the trans. The tailshaft is located on the rear of the trans, and is held onto the trans with 4,15mm bolts. The driveshaft slips into the tailshaft. The speed sensor will have at least 2 wires going to it.The speed sensor will be located either on the driverside or passenger side of the trans.95 was a transitional year,so the speed sensor could have been mounted on either side.Good luck
