Well, FIRST let me ask you what does B1S2 mean to you?

Bank 1 means it is the same side as the #1 Cylinder
Sensor 2 means it is the Sensor DOWN STREAM or AFTER the Catalytic converter..

With this being said... Are you sure you changed the correct O2 Sensor?

The Second thing that I need to tell you is this... Because it says O2 Sensor. Majority of the time it is the Sensor, but it could be other things... Broken Wire, Computer, Fuel Pressure and if it is DOWNSTEAM... Then it could be the CAT.

THEN.... I looked up and see that it was a HONDA and low and behold it occurred to me...

WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR O2 Sensor From? (this is where I saved so many people)...

Honda has made the variables so TIGHT that an AFTERMARKET O2 Sensor does not work....

If you have a ULEV Vehicle (Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle), you are pretty much forced to get the Sensor from Honda....

That would be my FIRST GUESS.... Get the HONDA Part...

I thank you so much for your time and help I got the sensor from the advance auto parts i also thik i changed the wrong one i changed the one right nex to the motor i ordered the right one this time i will receive it monday and i told them i didnt whant aftermarket thank you again God Bless You And Yur Love Ones Joel

Joel, if you are ordering from Advanced Autoparts, you are getting Aftermarket. OEM is Original Equipment of Manufacturer and will not be getting an OEM Sensor. If on the LEFT SIDE GLASS there is a sticker that says ULEV, I think you are going to have a problem but you never know. YES, you did change the wrong Sensor, the Sensor you needed to change is After the CAT...

You have a wiring issue, or a PCM issue. Check the wiring to make sure it is not broken, chafed, pinched, or pierced. If the wiring checks out, most likely a bad PCM.

Clear the codes with a scanner tool, and see if it comes back. If it does, there is a problem with the wiring or ECU.

SOURCE: 1997 Honda Civic did not pass smog due to O2

the best way to reset it is with a scan tool.
disconnecting the battery for one minute will also remove the code.BUT
if your smog test uses an OBD scan as part of the process, then there will be a problem, because the monitors will not have been set,as they are reset if the battery is disconnected..
most tests allow only one monitor missing, and not the catalyst .
A drive cycle will have to be done to set the monitors.
Typically cold start coolant temp less than 50F,idle for 2 minutes no air condition, accelerate at half throttle to 50mph then drive 3 minutes with a/c on at 50mph steady.decelerate to 10mph without using brakes..Accelerate to 60mph and drive for 5 minutes at steady speed without a/c
deccelerate without braking and drive for 1 minute at 40mph.
stop the car ,use braking.
Shut off the car and add 4 gallons of gas.do not shut off the car for more than 5 minutes.
drive in 3rd gear or overdrive off with rpm 3000 for 1 minute.
decelerate to 10mph.without braking
accelerate to 40 mph in 4th gear.,or overdrive on
decelerate without braking to 10mph.
test complete.
this will set the o2 sensor heater ,o2 sensor, catalyst, evap purge.and the other monitors.

SOURCE: Check Engine light with Po131 o2 circuit low voltage sensor 1 bank 1 reading, what does that mean?

- Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 harness is open or shorted
- Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1
- Inappropriate fuel pressure
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Intake air leaks may be faulty
- Exhaust gas leaks

Replacing the O2 Sensor 1 usually takes care of the problem

The front heated oxygen sensor (or O2 sensor 1) is placed into the exhaust manifold. It detects the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas compared to the outside air. The heated oxygen sensor 1 has a closed-end tube made of ceramic zirconia. The zirconia generates voltage from approximately 1V in richer conditions to 0V in leaner conditions. The heated oxygen sensor 1 signal is sent to the Engine Control Module (ECM). The ECM adjusts the injection pulse duration to achieve the ideal air-fuel ratio. The ideal air-fuel ratio occurs near the radical change from 1V to 0V.

SOURCE: bank 2 sensor 1 is bad, where is it located on my 05 accord v6 coupe?

If this is a V6 bank 2 sensor is the one before the catalytic converter in the bank of cylinders that contains cylinders 2,4 and 6.

I have a 98mitsubishi montero my check ingine light is on i hooked up my computer to read the code it reads bank 1/2 P0161oxygen sensor which oxygen sensor is the one on the driver side or passenger side

Bank 1 is on the side that cylinder number 1 is on, and 2 is on the other . Look up your firing order and you should find it fairly easily. And sensor 1&2 refers to before or behind catylitic converter.

Can an O2 oxygen sensor effect another sensor and give a false reading?

Check which side of your engine has cylinder #1. That side is bank 1. Bank 2 is the side opposite of bank 1. So bank 2 is not always passenger side. And since you seem to have extra O2 sensors, I would replace the other upstream and see what happens. Also the mass air sensor can give a trouble code issue to the upstream 02 sensors. Good luck. I've struggled thru this myself.

Check engine light continues to come on. Scanned and got Bad Bank 1 Code. Changed All four O2 Sensors. What else could it be?

Right check the O2 sensors for working by checking the wires with a multu meter ,although it can be checked with a code reader if set to read the PIDS ,this means that with engine running you read the readings on the code reader should be about 4.7v going up and down with RPM ,failing which on the O2 sensor their are twoi wires the same colour normally white or grey ,now check across these wires for a 12v supply with ignition on ,then get back to me as i dont iof this vehicle has 4 or 3 wires

P0136, P1131, and P1151 codes on Ford Expedition 2000 4.6L

Your auto has four O2 sensors. Two upstream and two downstream; With two banks. Bank 1, sensor 1...and bank 2, sensor 1 are the two upstream (exhaust manifold before the catalytic). Bank 1, sensor 2 and bank 2, sensor 2 (other side of catalytic)

Code 1131= upstream; bank 1..sensor 1
Code 1151= upstream; bank 2..sensor 1
Code P0136 (generic code) bank 1..sensor 2 (questionable)

I wouldn't spend the money to purchase 3 sensors. Highly unlikely all three are bad; Cost is about $40/ ea.
Since there isn't a code for the cat's themselves, I would suspect the O2 circuit is malfunctioning. The rough idle is another clue.

Take an ohmmeter set it on X10 scale and measure the resistance from engine to body and body to negative post on battery terminal. You should read zero ohms (full needle deflection). If you do go buy two upstream O2 sensors. If you read
open or a high resistance run two straps from eng. to body...and body to neg.batt. post.

I own a 1999 Toyota Solara and the check ingine light is on. I have a n ODB code reader and it reads the code #P0135 heated oxygen senser circiut malfunctoin (bank 1, senser 1) I changed the oxygen senser...

Changing the O2 sensor for a P-0135? Use a TOYOTA sensor. The aftermarket/generic sensors do NOT work in Toyotas.

User with the smoking problem: Remove the valve cover & check for engine oil sludge where the cams ride. If it is sludged, a rebuild is necessary, BUT, Toyota DOES have warranty assistance for this issue. All you need are oil change receipts.
