I have a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My brake lights stay on all the time, even with no key in the ignition. I noticed under the dash that the brake pedal does not come back far enough to hit the brake light switch. Is there a way to remedy this? Thanks
You can adjust the switch by putting your thumbs on either side of the switch plunger and pushing toward the brake lever. The switch shaft will ratchet into the new position which is will then be depressed by the brake lever when it is the brake is not being depressed.
First i need to know if you can pull the pedal back to turn it off or if the pedal returns fully on its own
Replace it or adjust it
