Hello Adriana,

Do you have your owners manual? If you do, there should be some info available for the location of the fuse box and a description and ratings of the fuses and relays.

Sometimes the fuse box cover will also provide this information.

The first place to start your trouble shooting is to look for a tell tale dash indicator alert for potential fault codes.

Does your A/C compressor come on when you select A/C?
How do you know you have adequate A/C coolant pressure?
Have you checked for a broken or missing belt? If your vehicle uses
multiple belts instead of a serpentine belt (which drives all of the accessories.)

hahah sorry their on a paper tucked into the fuse box ,it should be their unless some clever little dealer has removed it so you have to go back to them ,just pull all the 25amp fuses as it will be one of them for sure

Your WV dealer would be better suited for this.

The fuse is available in the fuse box below the steering wheel. In the box, you need to look for fuse number 47. It is a 25a fuse - if your lighter is not working properly maybe you just need to replace this fuse!

its under steering column ,25amp fuse top row in middle of fuse board no 47 numbers are tiny at bottom of each fuse ,, had to replace mine 2009 reg caddy

There's one in your Owner's Manual. You can also copy one from another person's Owner's Manual. Very little changes on the VW Beeteles from one year to the next. I can send you a copy of a 1998 fuse diagram if you can provide a valid email address (e.g. yahoo.com, gmail. com, etc.).
