Sounds like either your ignition switch is going bad or you have a dead spot in your starter in either case you have to replace it

try jumpin it to double check its not the battery. if not check spark plugs. if that doesnt work then id safely say you'll either need a new starting motor or a fuel pump

SOURCE: 1989 mitsu Galant 62,000 original miles. Sometimes

It could be a loose battery cable to starter connection or loose ground wire or corrosion on the battery cables or wires. I would check all connections and wires for looseness, wear and corrosion and tighten or replace as needed,

SOURCE: I ran out of gas and now my car wont start

ON your fuel rail under your hood is a pressure release valve. It looks like your tire inflation valve. It may have a black cap. remove cap, turn on key, then turn off. press the valve to release the fuel pressure. do this a few time and it will bleed your system off excess air. sounds like you have a vapor lock.

Our 2007 pt cruiser had computer replaced, and now the car will not shift gears, we check tran fluid optimal level, turn key back and forth several times until it says done. then drives normally.why?

On new cars there are several ways to reset the computer. I got a truck I have to turn key on and hit gas 5 times fast and 30 seconds, and then start it. *What always works is to disconnect battery- Negative(black first) then the positive (red side)-(do not let touch sides of metal firewalls). after 30 + seconds hook it back up and it should reset the computer.

Had starter checked and it is good.have to turn key back and forth several times before car starts.it doesnt make any noise or anything,it does nothing at all until the 2nd or 3rd time sometimes

Could be a worn out ignition switch & the
starter solenoid could be bad

Don't personally care how or what was tested,
based on what I see on this site, not much is done
correctly, when you pay someone

Have to turn key several times before car starts

Check oil pressure regulator, the likelihood is oil pressure, pressure relief, need multiple times ignition, re-established oil pressure.

Is there a kill switch for the alarm on a Subaru Baja

Your key is the kill switch. If you don't have a fob you can just put the key in the ignition and turn it back and forth several times (without starting the car) to turn alarm system off.

Key is in the ignition and won't turn to start

Could be just a sticky lock tumbler; try a shot of penetrating lubricant such as WD-40 sprayed briefly into the key slot. Then run the key back and forth into the lock several times.

1992 chevy pu. 4 wheel drive electrical issue.

the ignition electrical switch (not the key ignition switch) on the bottom of the steering colomn is probably the issue........You can find it by looking under the dash while turning the key you will see a rod moving back and forth. At the bottom of the rod is the switch.
Hope this helps!

Ignition switch

is the vehicle out of gear and in the park position? if so try and turn the steering wheel left and right at the same time turn the key back and forth slowly. repeat this proccess several times. also move your shifter back and forth several times slowly. if this doesn't solve the problem, there is a pin inside the steer wheel coloumn that is the problem. you will have to remove the steering wheel column covers to solve this. good luck ....please rate this.......thanks

Starting

Does a light come on that looks like a lock?? This is GMs Passlock problem. It a fault in the ignition cylinder. The car won`t turn over. If you remove the key, the car will start in 8 to 10 minutes. Some have found that spraying an electronic spray or silicone based spray in the ignition and rapidly turning the key back and forth may help. Repeat this several times. Replacing the ignition switch is an expensive option, but may have to be done.
