Brake line diagrams have never been avail
& you don't need them

If your replacing a rusted out brake tube, you
fabricate & duplicate the part your replacing

Given some experience you really could pump
a complete vehicle from scratch

To be working on any product, you have to understand
how it works & how to diagnose & make repairs,of coarse
almost no one has the thousands of dollars in tools at home
to do much on a car

I see you said can't flair line correctly

If that skill is lacking or you do not have the correct
tools your done

Brake tubing is only avail at auto parts stores in different
lengths of straight tubing, as you probably know

No diagrams
No ready made what ever tubing your replacing

Shouldn't say this, but repair shops don't do well
with brake tubing & some don't want the job
They just lack the skills & patience to do a decent job

SOURCE: 1990 Ford Ranger 4.0L V6 2WD Brake line to the

Chilton won't offer a diagram because there are many line length combinations which can be used to repair this problem.

Often, technicians reroute the lines around the axle nearby the old line and secure it using plastic cable ties that can be bought at your local dollar store or Walmart.

There is a great deal of flexibility in putting a new line in, as long as it doesn't interfere with other moving parts of the suspension.

I need to change out brake lines on a 1983 chevy pickup

You will need to make these lines up from straight stock And bend and double flare the ends to handle the pressure, this requires of course special tools and very special skills. You can't buy already make up replacement brake lines.

2003 santa fe-awd-how to install steel brake line

First, you have to make a new line. The steel brake lines are not available for ANY vehicle. The parts store will have sections of brake line that they can sell you. You should remove the old line and take it with yu so you can be sure and get the correct lenght and diameter.

You will then need either a "Bubble" flaring tool or a "Double" flaring tool depending on which type of flare your vehicle uses. You must look at the end of the original line to determine which it is. The steel brake line that you buy from the parts store will have double flares on both ends. To get the correct length howerver, you will most likely have to purchace a tube that is too long or your vehicle then cut one end off. You will then have to flare the end you cut.

NOTE: if your vehicle is equipped with metric bubble flares, there are also adapters that can be purchased that will screw into the bubble flare on your vehicle and adapt the fitting so that a standard double flare can be used on the tubing.

I recommend replacing the entire brake line from fitting to fitting. This can be very difficult to do, but it can be done. You may have to purchase a "roll" of bulk tubing to get a piece long enough to do this.
Some people do not want to go through all of this trouble, so they find a spot in the line that is in fairly good condition and cut the line. If you opt for this method, then you must now make a flare in the end of the line that you just cut off so the pieces can be "spliced" together.

When joining two pieces of line together, it is imperative that you use a flare union, NOT a compression fitting union. Brake lines must hold an extreme pressure (1100 - 1500 Psi.) using compression fittings is NOT SAFE.

Other than that, all I can tell you about HOW to change the line, is that you may have to disassemble several brackets and holders to get the old line out and the new line in depending on which line you are replacing and where it is routed.

Small hole in brake line near left rear tire

unfortunately the only thing you can do is replace it. no one makes pre formed lines so you can either remove the damaged one, and take it to a parts house, match the length, and fittings then take it home, bend it by hand which is very easy to do you don't need a bender so don't waste your money on one, and bleed the brakes. or you can track one down at a wrecking yard that came off the same rig. their are no way to patch these lines, I have temporarily fixed them before by completely cutting it in half where the hole is located, and then buying a brass union fitting at a local parts house and splicing it. I would not recommend this for a permanent fix

I need to find a brake line diagram for a 1990 f150.

Your not going to find one. Brake lines need to be made you can't buy prebent lines. The main lines runs down the drivers side of the vehicle to feed the rear barkes along the frame with the fuel lines and the parking brake cable. Thats the one that rusts out. You can buy line cheap but it has to be the same size and you just stratien it out. You will need a tubeing cutter a flareing tool and some brake fittings. You can also buy stright sections with the flare and fittings pre made but olny 4 feet long. This is the easyest way remove the rear fitting at the junction in the rear run the premade peice toward the front and cut the line at an easy spot to make the new flare so all you need to make is one flare and one new coupleing just make sure you put the new coupleing on before you do the flare then thread it all together and it will work for another 15 years good luck Inow this may sound complex but its not and if you can do this it will save you hunderds of dollars

Leaking brake fluid from rear driver side brake lines, need a diagram of how to replace the lines. 1994 ford taurus 3.o v6.thanks

They don't make diagrams for brake lines. The lines are sold in bulk. You need to measure and duplicate the bends in the orignal lines and cut/flare the lines yourself. You will need a tubing cutter, flare tool and tubing bender.

Where can i find a manual on how to replace the brake line on a 02 chevy s10 xtreme?

I'm not aware of a particular Manual that specifically addresses Brake Line for your Specific Vehicle.
However I have replaced several "complete" and "partial" Brake Lines in my years of experience.
Specific/Pre-Contured Brake Lines for your Truck are available at most auto parts stores. Calt them for availability and prices.
However these are somewhat expensive. YOU CAN 'MAKE' YOUR OWN LINES!
Also available at these auto parts stores are two (2) tools you can buy.
1) A Brake Line Bending/Shaping Tool.
2) A Brake Line Cutting/Flaring Tool.
These tools are very easy (and fun) to use.
The auto parts stores carry "Straight" "Bulk" Brake Lines in different sizes (lenght and diameter). They also carry Brake Line "male" and "female" Brake Line Connectors. Make sure you purchase the correct diameter size Brake Line and the correct Connectors to fit these Brake Lines.
If the original Brake Line that you are replacing has viable (usable) sections and/or connectors you can use, then use them.
Take the old Brake Line off using a flare wrench.
Check your Brake Line Connectors to see if they will properly connect to your remain system.
Measure this piece with a material measuring tape (don't tell momma!). Measure the straight Brake Line and using the Brake Line Cutting Tool, cut the straight bulk Brake Line. Using the old Brake Line as a reference: use the Brake Line Bending Tool to shape the straight bulk Brake Line into the desired shape, matching as close as possible to the original Brake Line.
BEFORE USING THE BRAKE LINE FLARING TOOL:
Place the proper "male" or "female" connectors onto the line, FACING the proper directions.
Using the Brake Line Flaring Tool: Flare the ends of the Brake Line.
Connect the "new" Brake Line using the flare wrench.
Make sure you Bleed the entire Brake System.
Let me know if this helped, or if you have any additional information or questions. Feel free to contact me at FixYa.com!
ps: Make sure you clean, roll-up and put away that material measuring tape!!
