Does The Inlet Manifold Under The Carberetor Have Water Hoses Going To IT,If Yes? This Water Is To Keep The Carberetor Cool The Pipes And The Manifold Could Be Blocked Stopping The Water From Flowing And Allowing The Carb To Get Hot!
When You Stop The Fuel Evaporates Causing It Not To Start
Remove A Piupe When Cold Start Engine Does Water Flow Out,
If Yes Or No Re Fit Hose Then Remove Other Hose If Yes Then The Manifold And Or Pipes Are Blocked.
Remove Manifold Clear Out Blockage ,Replace Hoses Re Fill Radiator With Anti Freeze Solution ,Problem Should Be Solved
Hope This Helps

Could be one of two things.

1. Your starter motor is no good.
2. If you turn on your lights and try to start the car and they dim to almost black, then you need to check the battery connections.

SOURCE: Won't start. replaced battery, plugs,

  • You can spray some carburetor cleaner in the carburetor and see if it starts for a couple seconds. This will help to determine if fuel is getting into the carburetor. 18 month of no fuel circulation can do a real number on a carburetor. Rebuilding it may not be off the table.

  • If you remove the starter and take a jump starter and apply it to the starter you can replicate the ignition sending power to the starter and see if the bendix starts to spin. If it whizzzs real good then the starter is more than likely functioning. Remember a starter can spin some but not spin enough to turn an engine over. If you take it to a parts store they can test it further for you. Make sure all the connections are good. A loose connection will cause the starter to fail.

  • How about the wires. Did you change the plug wires as well? I assume so but I don't see it listed so I have to mention it.

  • I recommend a fuel additive as well if that fuel is 18months old. Fuel oxidizes after a year and can not fire properly not to mention can really do a number gumming up the carburetor.

  • Some things to look at. hope this helps. If you have any comments of questions please feel free to ask.

Hi,
You have replace everything in the ignition system, but you failed to mention the the vacuum advancer valve, the round metal, beside the distributor and has a vacuum hose.
Seems like a vacuum leak in that area.Have your engine check by a tech w/ timing light and adjust the timing.
Hope that solved the problem.

1995 honda civic won't start even with a jump

Well the battery and alternator would not have anything to do with the engine starting.
You would need to check the ignition system to see if you are getting the correct spark at the plugs when the engine fails to start.

My 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited has a new battery but won't start. When I try to jump start it, it just makes a clicking sound but won't start.

Most likely you have a bad connection somewhere. Trace the battery cables and clean/tighten all terminals or try jumping to a different lug. You might also try removing the starter and jumping directly to the starter to verify that it is good.

Car won't start and starter is only making clunking noise

You can take out the spark plugs, keep track of your spark plug wire order, try to crank it over see if the engine turns over.

Check voltage on your new battery, some need to charge when new.

check for corrosion on the battery and starter cables.

Hello. My 1997 Chevy Tahoe refuses to start. The problems began with a bad fuel pump. I changed. It worked. The fuel pump died again. I changed it again and it has been working. I parked it for two weeks....

Now you have a good battery & a starter that turns over the motor

Have you cycled the key on & off with a fuel pressure gauge on the
fuel rail?

Do you have a fuel filter that isn't over 3 or 4 years old?

Have you checked for spark while cranking ? Use an old plug on the wires,
if you have ignition wires, don't ground the wire without resistance

If you removed the ducting & MAF Sensor it won't start

Tell us what you checked & exactly how that was done.
