Water leaking into KH laser Hatchback

Water is leaking into the passenger side of my KH laser hatch, this only happens when it rains and usually when the rain has been steady or heavy. I don't think it is the heater core as that would leak at any time. The water seems to go into the back passenger floor area first and then under the front dash area. It looks like the water is coming out of the fan housing, I have checked under the bonnet and tried to seal the fresh air vent as I though it was coming in through that but again last night it rained and the water is back????

It could be coming in through the rear door as the rubber might not be sealing properly the easiest way to find the leak is to remove your seats and carpet sit inside get someone to squirt the car round the doors and windscreen air vents.

2012 Toyota RAV4 passenger floor wet after it rains. Leak stains on left side under glove compartment. Doesn't happen every time it rains. I just bought it this summer 2023, when it wasn't raining.

Question edited for clarity, add maker.
Question moved to model category.

Based on our research the RAV4s with wet floors are usually, but not always, clogged sunroof drains or drain outlets. Other RAV4 owners found that the body trim surrounding their windshield or even the fender panel had degraded and failed, allowing water to seep in during heavy rain.

Water is running under my dash onto floorboard in my 2007 dodge caliber after it rains. Where is the water comming from

You need to find the conduits for rain - one of them has a leak in it probably from corrosion. Try to locate just where the water is getting in and see if you can use a sealer to stop the water from getting in.

I would remove the glove box and anything else in the way and look for the source when hosing down the car.

2005 Dodge Durango. Amp Shortage?? suspect water leak in area of amp. Now no sound at all. No radio, navigation system, cd player, sattelite radio

many of these 04-06 durangos have a leak problem at the top of the windshield on passenger side which leads to water getting into the passenger kickpanel where the amplifier is located. I had my windshield replaced for a crack and there was rust forming behind the top passenger side of windshield...( same with the rear hatch above the passenger side of the chrome molding that covers the handle. My radio went on and off depending on when it rained. Now it doesn't work at all. I plan to check for fuses related to the amp tonight to decipher whether the fuse just blew or that the amp was fried from the water.

Carpets are wet in foot wells after all the frosty weather, and not just when it rains. Any solutions?

Have you been adding any coolant? You could have a leaking heater core, which will usually leak to the inside, wetting the carpets in the well. Most American cars locate the heater core on the passenger side of the firewall, so a leak will typically show up on only the passenger side floor. I once had an Audi that had the heater core mounted just about dead center on the firewall. When it started leaking, both sides of the well(s) got wet.

I have the same problem and I just bought this car! Very frustrating as I bought the extended toyota warranty and am being told water leaks aren't covered under warranty. If you figure out where the leak is coming from please email me at [email protected]. My leak only happens when it rains very, very hard. Is yours this way too?

Water leaks in when it rains around hatchback of my 1994 Saab

Check the seal around the hatch. It is most likely worn or torn causing the leak.
