I just started one of these today. What a pain... 16 plugs, 8 wires and 8 boots. Replace them all. It is time..Most likely, the wires and boots are burnt threw. Just like the one I'm doing. Plus the plugs are worn out..
Your next step would be to check for injector pulse (signal at injector) and are the injectors working. Is the miss while driving, at idle, under load, or decell? What codes are u getting?
That's a good start. Code 300 is the code for a random miss. None of the cylinders are loosing RPM enough to point to one cylinder. At least not yet. You may have to wait until the problem gets bad enough to have a dead miss on one cylinder. Fuel injectors or fuel pressure is another possible cause as well as a vac leak.
I suppose it COULD be fuel...maybe an injector. But it would be best to troubleshoot the problem in the misfire first. Check to see if the cylinder is getting spark first, and if not, track the problem back from there, testing components as you go.
I guess I should start by saying the code did not say the sensor was bad. It probably said the sensor signal was out of range. If replacing the sensor fixed the code but the engine still runs rough and stalls, it could be a leaking injector or a problem with the throttle body. You would need to know which cylinder is causing the miss.
Usually you get a code that tells you which cylinder or cylinders are acting up. The code means the cylinder (s) are not providing power but does not tell you why. So you have to figure out if it is an ignition, compression, or fuel problem to proceed. Could also be a vac leak.
is there a check engine light come on? you can go to the parts store and have them check the code for you. if there is a miss fire then it will show what cylinder it miss fire on.
more likely one of the coil is bad
