199 ml320 wont start sometimes - 2001 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

You may have a warped head and a blown head gasket allowing water into a cylinder. This will disable the spark plug. Remove the plugs to check for water on the tip. If there is any water or oil on it then you have a warped head.

Try cleaning the throttle valve.

1998 ML320 - Switch OFF, Disconnect the neg battery cable for 2 minutes minimum. Reconnect battery with switch OFF. Then turn switch on and start engine. Should have relearned itself and work.

if the faulty gear shift control you must get your car in to the Mercedes dealer workshop for replace the shift control unit with shift liver it's coded to the car must re coded and unlock protection from the new shift liver control unit it's can only do by Mercedes Benz diagnose CPU and experience technician,

Hello my MB ML320 wont start, only start if I jump it,i change battery but I have same problem it start if I drive for long time but if is park for more than 5 hours it wont start.

Mine did the same thing. Finally took it to the dealer and they replaced the crank sensor. No problems now, except $200 less money in my pocket.
