Question about 1995 Nissan Pathfinder

Nasty vibration on the floor under the gas pedal

I have a 94 Nissan Pathfinder, 5 speed rear wheel dr. When I accelerate out of a light, I feel a steady vibration underneath my right heel. The pedal does not vibrate. It's a high frequency brrrrrr vibration that is present while I accelerate. It is most noticeable as I accelerate to 35 or so, and over 40 it is intermittent, mainly only when I accelerate. When I decelerate, it is also present, but not as much. Also, while the vibration goes on, the car's acceleration is retarded, and the rpm reads slightly higher, about 400, than usual. It really started today.

when decelerating slightly at 55 can feel engine surging and rpm gauge will fluctuate. will quit if decelerating to 50 mph or when slightly accelerating.

Check the drive shaft between the intermediate transmission and the front transmission for miss alignement and defectivness of the telescopics system of this shaft. we had about the same problem on our 1996 same model...

I would venture to say your exhaust is hitting your frame, or, you may need new motor mounts. The exhaust is what I would lean toward. If you can imagine your exhaust sitting under your vehicle, and the fact that the vehicle has a little age, the motor mounts probably give a little, causing the motor to move slightly on acceleration and deceleration, thus your exhaust is going to move, and may be vibrating on whatever its touching. Hello,

If problem only occurs 'under power' sounds like a u-joint (driveline - rear wheel drive) or a cv-axle (front wheel drive). Check for excessive play, fluid, boot tear and breakage.

ENGINE HESITATES WHILE ACCELERATION

It can be fuel pressure issue or it's the problem with accelerator pedal or its clogged filters causing there.

When maintaining speed of about 50mph,2004 pacifica hesitates and will cut off while in park sometimes.check engine light is not on

I have a 1999 nissan Pathfinder that starts to vibrate at speeds between 60-65mph. I have had the tires balanced, and the u-joints replaced as well. The vibration is under the seats and not in the steering...

it could be a bad engine or transmission mount.

High speed vibration 100 km and above (60 mph +) can feel the vibration in seat, steering wheel, gas pedal, brake pedal, dash, floor. feels like driving over rubble strips, without the noise at...

It may be the transmission input shaft bushing or bearing, located in the rear of the engine crankshaft, in front of the clutch assembly. If the bushing or bearing is dry (needs to be greased), the input shaft will still try to turn with the engine rpm, even though the clutch pedal is depressed. Also, the clutch disc may not be fully releasing, which could possibly be corrected by adjusting the clutch pedal linkage. good luck
