Truck has a 350 engine and is a 4x4
SOURCE: Heater wont work in my 1990 Chevy Truck
Several things can cause this (1) low coolant (2) bad coolant valve to heater core.(3) bad damper in duct.
SOURCE: the ECM fuse keeps blowing out
check the wiring to fuel tank something shorting. replace wires to fuel tank.
SOURCE: engine swap 5.0 vortec to 350 non computer controled
5.0 heads will not work, most likely not the intake either.

I would look closely for a pinched wire around where you did the repair, it may be in a wire loom, so look closely.

This is a blend door actuator this changes the door from cold to heat. There is a second one for defrost operation. If all other controls work this is what you should watch under the dash to see if both are moving.
