I have a 04 sonata and there is a squeak in the front passanger side wheel area. It is not a constant squeak it is an intermediate squeak. It almost sound like a shock or spring.

I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata. The front wheels have a intermitent squeek while driving. I thougt it might be my brakes needing replacement but the squeek stops when I apply the brakes.

Jump on the corner of the car that the side the noise is coming from then jump off and see how many times it bounces till it stops if it bounces 3 times to well then your front shocks are bad.

My 2003 3500 Dodge Cummins diesel Turbo has a squeak in the front tire area that is only squeaky when I turn the wheel left or right very high-pitched squeak like rubber contact I hit a hole and now I have...

It's more than likely the ujoint in the front by the knuckle...You can jack your truck up and turn the wheel to the side it is squeaking the most. Turn the tire by hand and see what it feels like.If your u joint is bad it will bind when you spin your tire.

1999 Ford Taurus, steering wheel shakes when driving due to front passanger side tire movement/problem. The tires have been rotated and still problem from that area. What could it be?

Usually a steering wheel shake is a bad tire. Any chance you have 2 bad tires on the car? Only a front tire will make the steering wheel shake.

2004 Mazda tribute steering wheel squeaking

Well a steering flush would not necessarily be related to squeaking.

So, you need to locate exactly where the sound is coming from...
It really sounds like steering wheel turning and resistance causes the noise, is this constant, or only while actually turning the wheel?

Likely it would be semi constant, so that would focus you on the assist portion... Be careful around all moving parts, but you need to locate the source.

Try taking a section of heater hose, and listen through one end and move carefully around with the other end and see what you find. Likely something under the hood, with your note about window open...

Now, if the squeaking stops when the steering wheel stops turning, now steering components are suspect.... So, again, louder with window down makes me think outside and in front...I would stand in front of the car, have your handy assistant actuate the steering wheel, and you decide which side, right or left.... Suspect items that squeak only during steering wheel input include, amongst other things, the entire strut, all ball joint, including joints in the steering linkage.... Be sure to keep clear of moving parts, your handy assistant would not know they they are crushing you, while truning the wheel......

1992 toyota landcruiser squeaking

Actually, there are not a places to lubricate, other than the Rzeppa joints (those at the big ball & socket looking things right behind the front wheels). That being said, here is what I would look for if it was in my shop:
Examine the front sway bar bushings. They may be bad or worn. Rocking side to side will move the swat bar. Look at the bar, there are 4 bushings; 2 at each end, and 2 under the center of the vehicle, held in by a "half-moon" looking clamp. Spray WD-40 or something like that on it real good & drive it.
Get back to me if this does not help.
