Duct door axle is broken. Dealer will charge $1100 to fix. Go to web site " HeaterTreater.net "
Part will cost around $112. Good luck

1998 GRAND CHEROKEE BLOWS ON DEFROST ALONE

Hi I have a 2002 JGC ltd and it is most likely your dampeners or louvers located behind your temp controls (inside the dash) for driver and passenger sides that control the direction of air flow from air outside in, circulation, heat to windshield, centre and or to floor etc. I had a friend that had heat only to the passenger side and cold air blowing to driver side. He took it in and they replaced stuck dampeners and it was not cheap. Sounds like the tipical problem with heaters.

2004 grand cherokee overland model heater and air conditioner temperature not working correct has the split controls for driver and passenger temp control, one side will blow cold the other hot, and it is...

this model has a couple of possibilities, updated heater control panel which is quite an expensive guess also the blend doors located in the heater casing break also an expensive repair as dash needs to be removed t gain access, would advise dealer visit first to confirm correct fault.

I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with automatic climate control. The drivers side blows cold air constantly. It has no heat.

sounds like the blend door motro may be bad, this motor is screwed to heater box, there are a few of these motors one for pass/side for hot/cold air then one to control position of air like defrost or vent or floor, then the driverside cold/hot air, i think this motor is on driverside part of heater box, to make sure locate each motor while moving all controls until you spot the one that doesnt move, then remove it and move door manualy to see if you get heat, then replace that motor, hope this helps,

2001 Grand Cherokee Heat on one side cold air on the other side?

The blend door on the passenger side has broken. Jeep has made a replacement section for the heater box assembly so you don't have to buy the whole thing. You will need to remove the heater/A/C box to replace the part. I have done quite a few of these repairs to fix the problem
