The paper filter element traps particles in the fuel that may damage the fuel injection system. The filter housing is made to withstand maximum fuel system pressure, exposure to fuel additives, and changes in temperature.

The fuel filter is part of the ful pump module and is not serviceable unless you replace the fuel pump which is located in the fuel tank.

The fuel filter should be located at the Fuel line under the car by the driver side. To safely change you need to depressurize the system.

INSIDE the tank. dont bother trying to replace it. When the fuel pump goes bad, then replace the whole module.

If your check engine light is on use DB2 monitor to check code, replace sensor indicated. Check fuel filter if more than 30,000 miles, Could be ignition problem or weak fuel pump

i own a 2003 vue. it happened to me and finally the tranny went. it was a sealed transmission(cvt)do you have a dipstick to check your transmission fluid.if you dont, get saturn to look at it.a new one is 6000.00.Just hope you have a warranty.
