What are the to coil packs on a set of spark plug wires on a 2001 4.3 chev blazer for and what plugs do they go on

which engine?
2001 WJ , jeep.
wrong spark plugs!

do tell engine you have there.
do tell park plug brand and numbers.
do tell if engine has coil packs, how many, and how you wired them back..
now answering for USA cars, (not exports. or those jeeps made in Europe. )

the 4.0L engine with the 3 coil rack pack? with 6 spark wire sets?
the 4.7liter has 6 coil packs coil over plug COPS.
that can not be wired wrong but could be unplugged in primary side.

my guess, wrong parts, wrong gap
or not reconnected right.
if spark is lost, scan the PCM cranking, look for DTCs/

which engine, we cant guess it.
some are diesel and have no spark plugs.

some engines have distributors if yes, the high voltage spark wires, clearly go to the spark plugs.
on newer gas engines, they have coil pack or
even COPS. coil over plugs. and those must come off to reach the spark plugs.
some cars have coil pack, see those HV wires, same deal

they fire on pairs with wasted spark setup.
1 and 4 fire together, as clearly seen above.
the HV sides are wired in SERIES to do that magic.

So, do you hear the pump buzz on, when key is on? If that's good, then check your ignition circuit: check for spark at a plug. Use insulated pliers, hold end of plug wire 1/4 inch form engine bolt or ground source. When cranked, you should see a bright blue spark. Yes? Try another plug wire, too. No? Try another plug wire. If you have NO spark, could be your coil, coil pack, crank position sensor, ignition module. I would recommend using a diagnostic flow-chart to go through the ignition circuit. That way, you are not replacing unecessary parts_Expensive! Of course, if you have spark at plugs, your ignition circuit is good! Then you have to look further, like your injector circuit. Good luck.

With out checking it out myself,,,My guest would be the (VCM) Vehicle Control Module...

what kind of car are we talking? does it have a distributor. and one coil or coil packs. regular small block chev v8 fire order for a distributor is 18436572

Check ignition coil pack for spark, at ignition coil with engine running disconnect one spark plug wire at a time, they should all spark, if no spark out of any of the coil pack, replace coil pack.

If you do not see a distributor or spark plug wires, then you have a coil over plug system. Changing the coil pack is as easy as removing the hold down bolt and lifting the coil pack off the spark plug. Other things should be checked like signal to the coil, the fuel injector signal and the spark plug

1.try checking the clearance in the spark plug if you have insufficient or more clearance you wont get spark check this.
2.check the wire coming to the spark plug.if power is not coming to spark plug there wil be discontinuity in the wire try replace it.

Coil pack should in the front top of motor, with engine running remove one spark plug wire at a time from coil pack ( careful not to get shock ) they should all have spark, if one don't replace coil pack.

you might try a new coil/coil pack, it sounds like your not getting enough spark to the plugs
