Factory radio? probally not is my guess. Odds are, the switch power wire and the main power wire on the radio are either swapped, or are drawing juice on the same wire which is always hot. Causing them to be on 24/7. Now if it's factory, idk, never heard that before.

My radio will not shut off when I pull the key from my 2003 Jeep Liberty. If I turn the radio off the clock remains on, is this normal as I cannot find this issue in my owner's manual. Thank Y

your radio clock is unlikely to kill your battery in any normal period of time, sounds like there is another problem with the switch and circuits connected to it. disconnect the battery cable in a dark area, there should be very little or no spark involved, if there is a significant spark then there is another problem, removing fuses one at a time and repeat test, may narrow down the problem circuit but may not.

Why is my clock and radio staying on after I remove the key in my jeep Liberty 2007

Modules or Relays are not going to sleep
or timing out & running the battery down

Have to leave the doors closed up to 1/2 hour with a
an amp meter on the battery & pull one fuse at a time
to isolate the circuit

1999 ,4x4,454,2500suburban.airbaglight stays on,when truck is turned off something is draining the battery ,the clock doesnot work fuel gage doesnot work.

Sorry to say, but none of these are related. Fuel gauge is probably the sending unit in the tank, could be wiring. The air bag could be the module, the bag unit, the sensors, or bad wiring. The radio is probably your most likely choice for battery drain. The three main things I have found to drain batteries are the radio, the starter, and the alternator. These three will kill a new battery in 1 to 2 days, An older battery over night. Shorts in the interior lighting is 4th..

My 2003 chevy malibu's radio clock light and mileage light will very rarely turn off when the car is turned off. What could be the problem?

yeah my problem is the same the shifter has to sometimes be imunipulated to assure its in park or the ignition will not turn all the way off leaving a weak or dead battery the following day. i would play with the shifter to be sure its in park all the way

Hi I just bought a 2002 chevy malibu LS. However when i went to start it, the battery was dead. When i turn off the ignition, the radio and the clock was still on. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong...

buy a new battery if this dosnt work trying looking into a starter or ignition relay or coil pack this all will make it not turn over but the radio and clock will work, also look into if your security light is on if so the key could be broke which would make it a problem cause then you have to go to a dealership and buy a new one which might cost a bit. hope this helped :)

Digital clock on radio is displayed all the time

Those Luminas all did that. I ran a taxi fleet for awhile that used Luminas and they all had that clock displayed 24/7. It didn't cause problems though, unless we left other things on, or our battery connections were less than perfect. The side post battery was more problem than you might think. Good luck. TT

Problems after car battery replacement

Sounds to me like you've got a fualty radio. maybe your clock radio was staying on and thats what drained your old battery. I would remove your radio and check the wiring. make sure you don't have any rubbed through wires or anything. If there's no evidence of faulty wiring then try a new cd player. After all, it could be an electrical issue inside your cd player. hope this helps ya out. O and by the way your clock light should be a yellow wire in the back of the head unit i beleive. the yellow wire is constant power from the battery specifically for the clock. you may also want to check your orange wire. that wire is an illumination wire for the radio. hope this helps
