Which engine ?
The upper radiator hose would go to the radiator. You have hoses going to the heater core too.

SOURCE: 1996 Buick Regal Sport - Leaking Plastic Elbow

YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE BELT TENSIONER.
IF YOU BUY THE CARTER BELT TENSIONER AT ADVANCED AUTO, IT COMES WITH: A PLASTIC ELBOW WITH O RINGS, TENSIONER, PULLEY, NEW O RING WHERE THE BELT TENSIONER MATES TO THE ENGINE BLOCK AND NEW O RINGS FOR THE INLET AND OUTLET CONNECTIONS ON THE BELT TENSIONER TO THE HEATER CORE (COST $72).
IF YOU DON'T REPLACE ALL THE ABOVE O RINGS THEN YOU CAN EXPECT MORE LEAKS.
IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE PLASTIC ELBOW YOU MUST REMOVE THE BELT TENSIONER ANYWAY. IF THE BELT HAS SEVERE CRACKS REPLACE IT ALSO.
STEPS:
-REMOVE BELT
-DISCONNECT BATTERY
-DRAIN ANTIFREEZ AND DISCARD
-REMOVE ALTERNATOR
-REMOVE BELT TENSIONER
-REMOVE PLASTIC ELBOW (DO NOT ALLOW BROKEN PIECES PLASTIC OR DIRT TO GET INSIDE THE ENGINE WATER CAVITIES.
-CLEAN ALL CONNECTION WHERE O RING WILL MATE.
-TO REASSEMBLE GO IN REVERS ORDER
-REFILL THE RADIATOR WITH COOLENT 50% MIX USE THE 5 YR GUARANTEE TYPE.
-MAKE SURE THE COOLENT RESERVIOR IS
FILLED TO THE HOT LEVEL MARK.
-RUN THE ENGINE UNTILE IT IT REACHES THE 1/4 % TEMP MARK ON THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE THEN TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND OPEN THE BLEED SCREW ON TOP OF THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING.
ALLOW THE AIR TO EVACUATE, YOU WILL SEE COOLENT COME OUT THEN CLOSE THE BLEED SCREW.
-BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU OPEN THE RADIATOR TO REFILL TO THE TOP.
-REPEAT THIS ONE MORE TIME.
-RUN THE ENGINE AND KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE' IF THE TEMPERATURE GOES BEYOND THE 1/2% MARK, SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE QUICKLEY AND LET THE ENGINE COOL.
THIS MAY TAKE HOURS TO COOL DOWN BUT THE COOLING SYSTEM WILL TURN FROM PRESSURIZED TO VACUUM AND DRAW COOLENT FROM THE RESERVOIR TO REFILL THE SYSTEM.
YOU WILL NOTICE THE LEVEL DROP IN THE RESERVOIR .

SOURCE: leaking anti freeze from under the air intake hose

The plastic intake upper plenum is known to warp, causing this leak.I believe too much heat from the nearby EGR port.the solution is more than just a new gasket, an upper intake is usually required.there are aftermarket suppliers, which could save you some money on parts.be sure to check around...good luck

SOURCE: upper radiator hose keeps leaking coolant, replaced the cuff ring but still seems to leak after a few days from the cuffed end of the hose. Does it need a new hose?

if it is leaking where it connects to the radiator it might be the radiator itself. take it to a shop and they can pressure test. some shops won't even charge for test.

Coolant leak

Most likely cause would be a leaky coolant hose near the engine block. When the car is warmed up and you turn it off, open the hood and look and listen for a hissing or a stream of coolant coming from one of the coolant hoses. If you can't see the source from above, you might need to look from underneath. If you can see where it's leaking, it might be as easy to fix as a hose change. Or it might be something a little harder to fix. But you need to start by finding the source of the leak.

Leaking coolant from bottom

Usually this is a simple fix like the upper or lower radiator hose leaking or just a loose clamp at one of these hoses. Get a bright flashlight, upon the hood and check the hoses at both ends. Make sure the engine is off. You might have to lay under the front of the car to look at the bottom hose. These hoses are the usual suspects start here. If these look ok and are not leaking look at the front of the engine where the belt is for any coolant dripping. If so this could be the waterpump leaking. If u plan on doing this job yourself I think u should watch a video on utube on how to do it. Good luck

My s 430 has smoke coming from under hood after driving but not all the time temp gauage reads normal. I had oil and trans leaks sealed but it is still happening, what else could it be? Thanks

SMOKE UNDER HOOD COULD BE COOLANT LEAK FROM RADIATOR ITSELF OR CHECK FOR LEAKING TOP RADIATOR HOSE AND CHECK FOR LEAKING BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE.LOOK UNDER THE HOOD IF COOLANT BOILING OUT COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG ENGINE OVERHEATING FROM BAD THERMOSTAT OR BAD WATER PUMP.CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAK AT WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE.IF SO WATER PUMP NEED REPLACING.ADD MORE COOLANT UNTIL LEVEL CORRECT.TRY LOCATE LEAK. IF CAR OVERHEATED AND BOILED IT OUT. SMOKE UNDER THE HOOD CAN ALSO BE CAUSED BY LEAKING VALVE COVERS WHICH CAN BE FIRE HAZARD IF OIL LEAKS ON HOT EXHAUST MANIFOLD.

Need to change the thermostat on my 93 lincoln town car but can't find the location where is it located?

For 1993 Lincoln Town Car 4.6L EFI 8cyl the Thermostat is located: under hood, center, upper engine area, engine end of upper radiator hose, mounted in coolant outlet housing.

Hope this helps (reemember to rate this answer).

Coolant leak coming from the center of the car, under the engine

Looks like bypass hose or engine coolant plug just got leak! look at ur coolant reservoir, it might overflowing when ur engine heats up and its dripping towards the engine! Look and search all the hoses in the side of the engine and reservoir! If its the bypass hose, there will be a difficulty in removing and replacing it, but u could fix it! taah!

Most likely the water pump seep hole, if it was running outthe crank It would not run, however it could be the upper radiator hose or the small bypass hose or the thermsotat housing.
