Answer depends upon what "wrong fuel" you added. If it's a similar fuel
(gasoline but wrong grade etc) you can just keep using it and just use the right grade when you fill up. (same applies to diesel) But if you have used gas in a diesel or diesel in a gas vehicle, you have to drain the tank and purge the system to remove it. (tank needs to be taken down to drain). If you added under a quart of the wrong fuel, most times you can leave it alone and just fill the tank with the proper fuel and keep topping it off as you drive it to further dilute what was added.Your engine will usually tell you how unhappy it is with what you're feeding it.

I need a fuel-system diagram for my jeep grand Cherokee 2002 3.7l petrol.I what to clean the fuel system because of periodical rough idling which clear away as I select neutral and rev the engine

is this car in uSa, NO,or Europe?, you posted to a USA forum. ok?
our USA Cherokee ended 2001. so my guess is you have
a European Cherokee? KJ is like our KJ Liberty, using our name
car is not the same,. (kinda SAME,but not identical)

Forget that. ill answer simply,
fuel tank has fuel pump
to a filter above and fuel lines to the v6 fuel rails
and last the Injectors, that is all there is on fuel side
the injectors are fired by complex electronics called EFI
try Chevron techron additive to tank (read bottle side do as says)
end snake oil fixes....bla bla...

rough idle is misfire, and 50 possible causes
#1 cause is NO TUNEUP in last decade
#2 did you scan it yet, to see who is misfiring, seems not.
and more lots lots more, if not above
one is bad fuel.. old or someone put wrong or bad fuel there.
lots.
P= fuel pump below
F= fuel filer is here 2002.(again,USA MARKET)
WHY ASK YANKS THIS?

37-2db4xp2j5rxj1ni1rn5i0al2-1-0.jpgwhy not get the car serviced and now make it worse.?

I've cleaned the iac valve, changed the map and the spark plugs still get the spudder like its going to cut off . sometime it does. What else could be wrong?

It could have a clogged fuel filter or a failing fuel pump. Contaminated fuel, clogged injectors. Check for vacuum leaks.
Crankshaft position sensor failure is common on the 6 cyl grand cherokees.

When I go to crank 2000 jeep Cherokee limited the fuel gage works sometimes and it will only run for about three seconds what's wrong?

The computer grounds the fuel pump relay for 3 seconds to boost fuel pressure on start-up. If the computer does not see oil pressure or RPM it will not continue to ground the relay.
You would need to bypass the relay and see if the pump continues to run, then check the relay and the ground signal from the computer.
The gas gauge problem may be connected or something different.
The connector at the gas tank may be faulty which would affect both the power for the pump and the fuel gauge sending unit.

My 1993 jeep grand cherokee v6 4.0 liter turns over but it will not start

The car cranks and turns over but will not start. Surely this seems that the fuel setting can be wrong , the valve timing. I suppose the fuel pump calibration and also the injectors and glow plugs must be checked.

Some tips on the link below;

Where Is the fuel filter on my 93 jeep Cherokee

your primary is in the tank connected to the fuel pump(but usually doesnt need change unless something goes wrong and u need to change your pump.)your 2ndary filter is on the frame rail on the drivers side, just above the rear tire. Two hose clamps and a 11mm bolt on the fuel filter strap.Remember to relieve the fuel pressure from the tank and test port on the fuel rail that connects the the injectors.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 6 cyl. Runs for a long time and then shuts off while driving. We changed fuel filter but still continues to do this. What could be wrong?

Have you had it scanned for codes (free) at big autoparts store yet? That may point everyone in right direction. If that doesn't tell you the obvious problem/fix, get back to us with any codes they told you, and we'll help you out.
How long does it have to sit before re-starting?

98 jeep grand cherokee black smoke

Either your too rich and gas is getting by the piston rings going into the crankcase(oil pan)or you have a defective fuel pump (even if it is new!!)IT'S one or the other!!Running the car very rich for a period of time will have fuel in the oil!! I run mind rich for the nos and smell gas in the oil when draining it and only have a few passes on the motor with the nitrous, but runs extremely rich at idle because the timing is backed way down and running a colder plug causes a rich condition!! Plugs will foul quickly also!!
