The back-up lights will not come on when I put my 2002 Saturn SL in reverse. I checked the bulbs and they are not burned out, the fuse is good. Any other reasons for this?

for a std trans its on the top of the trans below but to the back side of the battery on a auto trans its on the back side of the trans below the brake master cylinder
Check u-joints and cv-joints. When they wear out it can cause play in the drivetrain, causing a 'clunk' when you put the car in reverse (and usually from reverse to drive). But, it sounds likely that this is what's causing your problem.
if its 5 speed trans,try replacing the reverse light switch on the trans,it is located on top of the trans under the battery,,like $16 part,they go bad alot
yes their is a reverse lamp switch on the trans. vary common to go bad. it is located below air intake tube. good luck i would bet that will fix your problem.
