SOURCE: blower motor & resistor on

just change the resistor b/c when resistor go bad they get stuck on high or low. selecting on low give you more resistor and less flow of air from the blower and on high side you get less resistor and more flow

good luck

SOURCE: 2004 mazda mpv- rear heater fan only works on high

My bet is that there's a relay at fault... but first: have you checked the fuses? the high blower speed draws a lot of power, so sometimes it's fused separately from the other speeds. This means that your fuse for the slow blower speeds could be blown. Also, because theblower draws so much power, you'd need a HUGE switch to switch it directly, so they use a low-power switch inside the car, and a relay (usually under the hood, but sometimes under a seat (check your owner's manual) to do the heavy work. These are often split the same way, with the high blower on one, and the slow on the other. These are the things that are easier to check, but it could just be that the switch is bad. Mid 90s Land rovers and Range Rovers have the same problem, where the only blower speed that works is HIGH, making the cabin sound like a wind tunnel... Just the switch. The switch can be a pain to replace if you do it yourself, but do check the fuses first, and see if you can find the relays. if the fuses are okay, and you find the relays, try to find the one that's for the fan and swap it out, it shouldn't be more than 3-4 dollars from an auto parts store, just bring in the old one to match it, or swap it for another relay that's nearby and has the same pins. If the swap works, just remember to get another relay, because the one you "borrow" from another circuit could be the door locks or the headlights or something else important....

SOURCE: 1998 Mazda Protege air conditoner blows warm air

Freon in ac system is probably low. Might even have leaked all out. The right way is to check it with a set of gauges. Most autoshops can check that and go from there.Other than that check the fuses.

Ac will not work on high in 2004 isuzu rodeo

What is near the motor? This isnt working on HIGH. So its not a resistor. If that is what you are talking about? High isnt connected to a resistor. Its direct power so what would changing the resistor do if the only possible problems are fuse, relay or switch? If it worked on HIGH and not setting one through three then yes it would be the resistor on the ac blower motor if it is still powering on when tested on the low settings.

What to do. my heater dosen't work in my 98 mazda protege

What exactly do you mean? The heater "core" doesnt get hot, or does the blower motor not "blow"?

2001 mazda protege heater would only work on

You may have a faulty fan switch. Had mine replaced when only #1 and #4 were working and it fixed the problem. Unfortunately, there may be more issues, as a year later the switch is failing again. May be some kind of feedback that is causing it to fail.

1998 Mazda Protege air conditoner blows warm air

Chances are that if nothing over the winter poked a hole in the condensor, 1 or more of the O-rings that are at each joint / connection, has dried out therefore allowing the refrigerant to leak past the seal. Have a qualified tech check it to be sure. The cost may be a minimal 1.

Instructions on how to change the rear brakes on a 2002 mazda protege?

Give me a call.
1) I have owned a Mazda protege 5 for the last 4 years
2) I have done 2 complete brake jobs on it
3) I am a braking systems engineer.
4) I know what I am doing. I have done 100's of brake jobs on lots of different vehicles.

Biggest issue with the protege is getting the piston back in.
Look at the back of the caliper.
There is a thin head bolt on the back.
You need to take this off the caliper and reach inside with an allen head (I think it's 5mm). Then turn the set screw in there out a few turns. Then you can push the piston back in with a regular piston push back tool. Dont worry if the set screw comes out. Just thread it back in. But you HAVE to at least start it back in. It is part of the auto-adjust mechanism. After you do your brakes you may notice that your parking brake has A LOT of play. After you work it a few times it will tighten back up just fine.

Clean averything well and grease the slide pins with a good quality waterproof grease. There is special grease for slide pins.

No heat in a 98 Mazda Protege

See what your rad fan is doing with setting at heat, not defrost. It should only come on when temp gauge gets up around operating temperature.
