Oil Light comes on VW passat

I have VW passatt which recently started playing up, the oil light comes even though I topped this up with recommended oil (PD). Dip sticks shows there is enough oil in the car... Can any suggests what may be the problem???

Z Oil Pressure light Comes up and refuse to go back down, Fuel Cap Warning light comes up frequently when driving, resume normal after restart engine... Seems to be sensor / software problems.

Start checking the oil level, if oil is low then the problem is a leak or weared rings.

If oil level is ok, check that the oil pump has enough pressure.

If oil pump is also fine, then scan the ECU (car computer) and replace the sensor if you do not find anything else being wrong.

Oil filter on a 07 passatt

If your looking for the location of the oil filter on the 2.0 passat it is located under the car next to the oil pan. Its between the oil pan and the fans. It has a round cover with 22nm written on the top of it.

CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL SOUND LIKE LOW OIL LEVEL.CHANGE OIL IF IT HAS BEEN OVER 3000 MILES OR OIL LOOKS DIRTY CHANGE IT.IF OIL CHANGE DONT HELP HAVE OIL PRESSURE CHECK TO SEE IF OIL PUMP GOING BAD OR YOU HAVE A FAULTY OIL PRESSURE GAUGE.

2003 VW PASSAT. Check engine light goes on and

8.5 hrs + parts sounds about right. But why would a 7 year old cars oil pump fail? They usually last a lifetime. Has there been a lubrication problem? Low oil, cheap oil, wrong oil? But then again my daughters 04 Toyota needed a valve job, head gasket and water pump recently. I'm doing 90% of work and it still cost about $2000. Her problem was bad oil!

Oil light recently came on, oil level was low so i topped it up but the yelow oil light stayed on, the level is correct, whats wrong? vw passat 52 plate tdi(PD)

oil pump may be bad, engine is not pushing oil from bottom to top. Are your lifters ticking?

Wipers working when you pull on stalk to wash

while someone is pulling the stalk, use a meter or test light to check for voltage at the washer pump, located on the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir. if there is voltage, the pump is bad. if no voltage, it may be a fuse, bad switch or a break in the wiring.

VW Passat 2002 oil light staying even after topping up

Is the motor knocking? Does the light go out when some RPM's are added? If the motor is knocking, you have a big problem with the motor. If not, you may just have a bad oil sending unit/wiring.

Low oil pressure light comes on and goes off

the noise is the chain tensioner in the cylinder head between the two camshafts. it is a job for a proffesional shop. the 1.8t passats had an oiling problem and were fixed with a larger oil filter. some times you have to remove the oilpan and replace the oil pickup tube.
