Fuel pump wire colors 97 crown vic

need a diagram for a 2001 crown vic police interceptor on droping a fuel tank so i can replace the fuel pump !!

I also have that same vehicle but, I'm sorry to say it does not have cruise. I also have a wiring issue. I replaced the interior (seats, carpet, door panels, and a few dash moldings) with duel power seats, however I through out the old seats before I noted the "wiring colors" for the passenger seat 'seatbelt' and 'airbag' sensor connections. The new seats came out of a 2003 crown vic (not a p71) and had totally different connections under the passenger seat. My '05 p71 did not even have the wires there for a power passenger seat, so I had to replace and wire them in from the harness that I removed from donor car. That actually wasn't TOO bad, and the seats work fine, but I don't know which wires go together for the seatbelt and airbag sensors, as the old wire 'colors' under the seat do not match the 'colors' on the connectors under the new power passenger seat. If you could tell me the colors of the wires to your original seat (passenger), for the seatbelt and airbag plugs you would be a great help in solving my issue with the "airbag" and "seatbelt" light that stays lit on the dash. These should be the colors coming out of the plug on the fuel pump.

have look at ur wires that is caming from the car in to the coil it self

I would look under your car and look for gas stain's, it's either going to be the filler or vent hose's or the o-ring where the fuel pump goes into the gas tank.

you will need to change the fuel pump had that problem with one of the customers,if my info is of any help to you please leave me a comment,thankyou.

the fuel pump is defective, there is a Ford service bulletin on this problem, there is a new pump available.

Make sure you are using a 12volt DC system in both units. It may sound simply but an AC sub may need an inverter. Also check grounds.

Have you checked the fuel filter. Fuel pump will pressure up, but fuel filter could be clogged and not work without the pressure of the fuel pump.
