Yes, you can get a Manuel operated window and install it in your present door you just have to disconnect and remove the present window motor and the elec. You may have to change the door pad as well so you have a hole in the panel for the manual crank for the window.

SOURCE: how do i replace a heater core on a 1988 chevy

You wll need to first undo the heater hoses at the firewall to the core, then under the dah you will need to dismantle the heater box, the core is located inside this box, assembly is the reversal, heater core is about $40. time consuming and hard on the back but not hard. Remember we are here to give as much help as we can without seeing the car so, I hope this helps somewhat, good luck.

2005 Chevy Cavalier Power Window Motor Fix?

the cheapest way to replace your window motor would be to go to a salvage yard to get the replacement. they are not very hard to install the hardest part of the job is removing the door panel without breaking the clips that hold it in place. just slide a big flathead screwdriver in between the plastic door panel and the metal door frame and twist the screwdriver that way the clips wont break on you.

Removing a door panel on a 1988 chevy C15 truck

There should be a couple of screws on the arm rest that you need to remove and probably one on the door handle then you need to find something to pry the panel off with, without breaking the plastic clips. They make a special tool for this that you can buy for just a few dollars at any auto parts store. If attempting to do it without the right tool be careful not to break the clips.

Driver side window

If you look at the fuse panel there are two silver 30 amp fuses on the right side or there should be. they are in the blocks marked POWER with the arrows pointing to the right. One is for the windows the other is for the power door locks. Not sure which is which try both hope this helps.

Power windows work intermittently on both our 1988 chevy pickup and our 1999 suburban. is this common or what? is there a simple fix?

If you all have not already solved the problem here is my experience with the same probleem. If all windows began to work intermittently and you can control all from the drivers side door panel it is often that switch panel that has gone bad and needs replacing. You can generally find one at a salvage yard inexpensively- this is a relative term as comparedf to a new OEM switch mind you.If the problem is consistent with one door/window it is often that switch that has gone bad. If you are handy with a multimeter you can test the lead going to the motor to ensure that you see the same results on the multimeter as you do in real time connected to the motor. If there is no inconsistency it is possible but rather unlikely that the motor itself is at fault. Motors generally fail all out or within a very short period of time once displaying any symptoms. Thanks fo using Fix Ya.
