Could be the switch for the hand brake. You might try unplugging it to see if the light goes off.

I am going to have my timing belt changed on my 2007 Hyundai Accent. What fluids should be changed at the same time? Thank you

Your owner's manual contains a section for maintenance & safety checks. Depending on your vehicle's maintenance history, you may not have to change any fluids at this time. As a rule of thumb, every 30,000 miles you should change trans fluid/lube and cooling system flush every 2 years. Brake & power steering fluid need only be checked for minimum level and inspect system components if fluid levels are below minimum.

Car sometimes wont start unless you spray starter fluid, just replaced filter. oem codes are p0734 and p1401

P0734 = 4th gear incorrect ratio (that's the torque converter 'lock-up' clutch - inside the converter).
P1401 = doesn't exist for 2002 Hyundai Accent's
P1401 exists for 2000 Accent = DM-TL Air Pump Motor Curent Draw is higher or lower than expected (normal is 17-36 mA). DM-TL = Diagnostic Module for Tank Leakage & is part of the Evaporative Emissions Control System.

These two DTC's are not associated/part of the Accent's Engine Managemenet System (EMS).
Best to have a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician properly diagnose this starting problem with your vehicle.

The brakelights show on the dashboard of my 2002 hyundai accent...what does it mean?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
If your seeing the brake symbol it is usually telling you that the break fluid in the reservoir is low. Check the break fluid level. If it is low fill it with DOT3 or DOT4 Brake Fluid to the high mark. Do not over fill it. Only up to the high / full level. If you do NOT service the reservoir soon you will start introducing air into your brake system and will have to bleed the entire system. You can purchase brake fluid at any automotive parts supply and most of the full gas stations.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

I have a handbrake switch permenently on when ignition is on even with the handbrake off.please download repair instructions.

Have you checked brake fluid level? It is on the same cicuit and puts on the light if the level is too low.  The handbrake switch is usually under the trim for the lever, just a simple on/off switch which can become dislodged if the lever is bent out of line through use.

My Brake Light on My dashboard is coming on when I brake, but the fluid is above the minimum level, and I had my brakes looked at less than a year ago.

This thing happens as the light is set to glow up when the fluid is less. Minimum level has been set just as a refrence to let you know that its time to refill the fluid. So don't wait for the fluid to cross the minimum level. Refill it and the light should go away.
