My mini vans motor blew up while i was driving it

Yes the mass air flow sensor is tied to the trans module and is used in the calculation of the shifting points. I would change the MAF. I have ran into GM cars with MAF sensors stalling engines. Those years were notorious for it

Motor doesn't turn over or it doesn't start ?

If it turns over, the fuel pump may have quit
Cycle the key & listen for it near the tank

The module may have failed.
The module reads the chip in the key thru the sensor in the lock cylinder.

the key sensor is bad

First try and change the fuel filter. this also happened on a van i worked on. I cahnged the filter and it runs fine now.

what is the condition of the rest of the van? how does it ride, steer, shift and so on?
$2,700 is a lot less than replacing the whole van and you could end up buying someone elses headache if you go used..
if it ran really well before the gaskets went i would invest, if it had other issues i would trade it in

How you manage to drive to work if the car did not start after replacing the 100A fuse? I'm confused. You may want to check the 15A fuse for the computer inside the car and check the rest in the same area for possible damage.

YOU EITHER HAVE A COIL DRIVER CIRCUIT WIRE SHORTED OR FAULTY ENGINE CONTROLLER(PCM)..CHECK NEAR TRANS DIPSTICK FOR ANY DAMAGED/MISROUTED WIRING..HAVE SEEN IGNITION COIL DRIVER CIRCUIT PROBLEMS WITH PCM'S IN THESE VEHICLES ALSO
