EITHER THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING.CHECK FLUID.IF IT LOOK DARK SMELL BURNT REPLACE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER.IF TRANSMISSION CHECKS OUT OKAY.YOU COULD HAVE A PLUGGED EXHAUST SYSTEM LIKE STOPPED UP CATALYTIC CONVERTER OR STOPPED UP MUFFLER.

This sounds like you have a plugged "pre cat". This item sits just below the exhaust manifold and is a common item to plug and cause the engine to be
'choked" as so it will not run or if it does run, the acceleration is very very poor. Also if it is that bad and can keep it running fromunder the hood, you should see it glow cherry red. Have this replaced.

I would put an alternator on it and see how it acts then. it sounds like a combination of things. depending on the model, it may have a malfunctioning or siezed turbocharger. If you find out its not a turbocharged issue I would tune it up, new plugs plug wires, injectors, filters. you probably have vacuum leaks also. Its hard to tell you what to do because there are so many options you may or may not have If it ends up being the turbo AWD model I would have it lubed up immediately before you drive it anymore.
