How to add usb/aux input in a bmw 330i 2006 with professional audio system w/o nav? Car has oem bluetooth capabylities installed already

Radio has optic cable running from hu trough center console till hand brake

This is because of the cs changer which is mounted in the boot of your cars , this happens when there is any vibration in the car or the wiring is shorted please get it checked .....................

SOURCE: Car display console suddenly stop working

there is a module that controls that called the CCC- Car Communication Computer. My guess is that was damaged from the accident. hav a dealer check to be sure. Module is VERY expensive, so may wanna think about going through insurance for this

SOURCE: brake warning light is on for 2002 bmw 745i.

The brake pads have sensors in them, when the pads get worn down to the sensor the light comes on letting you know its time to replace. this happens well before the pads are completely gone to reduce wear on the rotors. You should have the brakes replaced and the sensor also.

There are several things that can make a hand brake stick on. It possible the cable attached to the leaver has come off it guide. There is a cable running from each rear wheel to the handbrake leaver , a inner cable running through a outer housing , chick that the inner cable is free to move back and forward . if all the cables are free to slide adjust the rear brakes and hand brake as instructions . Slacken off the hand brake cable adjustment. Jack up the rear wheals and adjust the brake shoes till the brakes lock, then back off till the wheels are free to turn. Then pull the hand brake leaver on two clicks and adjust the hand brake cable till the rear wheels just start to bind, release the hand brake leaver and check the wheels are free to turn.

How do I get to the parking brake adjusting nut under the center console of a 2001 honda accord LX
If handbrake has excessive travel and the brake pedal is low then you havent set the rear brakes up properly ,if a drum then you clean the lip on the edge of the drum so it has a bevel then you manually adjust the auto adjuster till the drum just slides over then tap outer edge of drum wth a small hammer to level the shoes and then see if you can then adjust the auto adjuster up a bit more .Also when taking the drum off again make sure that the handbrake mechanism lever is right back ,Now if you adjust the brakes on the handbrake cable then it will be out of square and will not work on a brake roller tester ,and the footbrake will still feel spongey then you get a inspection failure for excessive pedal travel and low handbrake efficiency ,this model of car should be able to lock the rear brakes up at 30mph when jerking the handbrake up hard and it shouldnt have more than 3 clicks when done correctly

Once you have removed the center console, you should be able to see the base of the hand brake. There should be a bold which you can adjust to tighten or loosen the cable. While at it take time to check for the condition of the cable. Check for wear and have it replaced. Adjustment of the handbrake may work for a while with a damage cable but may break when you least expected.

How do i adjust the hand brake on a e46 bmw
1st loossen up cable adjusters then remove rear wheels, remember safety 1st support car and through wheel stud hole you can turn adjuster star wheel with a small screwdriver till wheel locks then back off 4-6 clicks till wheel runs free next re adjust hand brake cable back up, again till wheels lock and again back of till free!

the xc90 has fiber optic cable all date is sent trough and it make a loop from the dash cluster to the radio to the ecu. i would ask for a wire diagram and start with some wire. i had a pinched wire under the dash with the same issue.

This will require you to take the center console out for a better view and to more easily access and adjust the hand brake.

the book is correct it is under the hand brake itself and very easy to adjust once you get the console out of the way its held in by screws and you will have to take it totaly out.

you need two wrenches to adjust the parking brake and that's it.. remember to leave it in the down position when adjusting it and pull it up after about every 3 full turns turns just to check to see how tight you have it. you don't want to over tighten it
the emergency brake will be on all the time and wear out the brake pads. this sounds harder than it really is. the hardest part of the whole thing is getting the console out of the way once that is done you will be able to see how its done

I have the same car and the same problem. After doing some research online and talking to my Infiniti dealership it turns out it's a fairly common problem with the head units (I have a Bose HU). The only real solution is to replace the HU. The service center at my dealership quote me about $500 for parts and labor. I'm so happy that it happened just AFTER the warranty expired :(

Hand brakes
You have to pull out the ashtray at the back of the center console, then lift the two tabs at the bottom of the housing and pull the housing towards you. When this housing is removed, you will see the e-brake cable, and a large white plastic collar on the cable. With your hand, turn this collar clockwise until you get the proper tension on the e-brake.
