03 Santa Fe blower motor resistor replacement

The blower motor only runs in Hi position. Suspect the resistor module is bad. I have a Haynes Manual which is not very clear. It says the motor is at the right lower portion of the housing & the resistor is at the wiring terminal to the right. Need help locating & replacing resistor module.
Thanks, Tom.

Heater blower motor only works on high. Is the likely problem a blown resistor? If so, where it is located?

The part you need to replace is the blower motor resistor assembly it has a screw on each side of it with a plug in th middle and for the most part it is on the passanger under the dash behind a black cover stop by a auto store and take a look at one and then you know what you are looking for and at the same time you can find out how much its going to cost i am only going to guess it somewhere around $15.00 to 25.00 dollars.

if the blower resistor pack is separate it will be in the blower housing where the air flow can cool it

Location of blower unit resistor on Santa Fe 2004

The repair manual shows the resistor above the blower motor. It says to remove the dash pad for access. You may be able to remove the glove box to get to it.

Blower Motor only works on high and resistor changed

sounds like it's the switch; but it is important to see whether the fan spins freely or else the switch or resistor block will fail again. the most common reason for these failures is that the motor drags and pulls too many amps, thus overheating the connectors and wires.

My blower just all the sudden stopped working,i repalced the blower motor and it still doesnt work the main fuse is fine is there a relay or anothe fuse ? 2004 sante fe

I found a the main ground wire opened from the blower motor and have temporarily tapped into and ran the same size gauge wire to known chase ground to quickly get running... (Florida-heat) Of course this is set to Hi position. I will need a schematic to complete trouble-shooting. Suspect open ground circuit back to motor switch?

I have a 2004 santa fe, the A/C blower only works on high. There is power from the control head to under the dash, but where it goes into the fan there is no power except for when it is on high

How about when the heat is on? You might have 2 reostats, one for heater one for A/C.The reostat controls blower speed Most cars only have one ,but who knows seen stranger thjngs,I have had bad blower motors only work on high.My guess would be a reostat.
