TAIL LIGHT NOT WORKING

It can be faulty tail light bulb or its issue with tail light control switch or its wiring's are short.

Check the voltage at fuse slot of tail light.Do you receive 12 volt there. If not, then it says tail light switch is not receiving power supply.

SOURCE: clicking noise coming from the dash

The multi-function (aka combination) switch probably has contaminated grease in the switch contacts from wear.

See:
http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-Grand-Am-Turn-Signals

for do-it-yourself repair instructions. You can also buy a new aftermarket switch, if you don't want to take apart the existing one and clean up the electrical contacts.

For example, see:
http://www.autozone.com/Ntt,SW1414/shopping/allResults.htm
(or just go to http://www.autozone.com/ and search for part #SW1414)

For 2003 Grand Am, it was listed as "Duralast / dimmer switch", but other makes & models may go by another name.

SOURCE: Clicking noise from the blinker wont turn off!

There are 2 common things that cause this.
1. the hazzard flasher is faulty. the hazzard button and the turn signal flasher are all in one. Sometimes pushing the hazzard button in slightly will get the noise to happen, and is an indication it is faulty.
2. The turn signal switch in the steering column is bad. Turning the turn signal from left to right- very fast and harshly, will sometimes clear it up for awhile.

SOURCE: 99 Grand Am Turn Signal Relay Actuates By Itself

I had this problem quite some time ago and found a solution in a grand am forum. I rember I took off the top plastic panel on top of the steering column and there is a single screw (torx?) underneath. Remove the screw and the entire turn signal and wiper arms come up and off. There is a copper plate that will have grease in the slots, clean the grease off and it should be ok. It has been a while but I remember the clicking sounded like it was coming from the hazzard swith behind the radio but that was not the problem-it was the copper plate. It is an easy fix. Hope this helps.

When the check engine light comes on,The ABS system becomes disabled and so does Trac,You need the check engine light code,As for the windshield washer if the wiper work the pump is non operational,as for the signal light its cheaper to put a signal flasher on if that doesnt correct it you will need a multi switch.Unless you have a lot of money and let someone diagnosis the problem

Is the hazards relay used part of turn signal?

The hazard switch is also the device that supplies the turn signal "flash". If you continue to hear the noise of the turn signal flashing when the turn signals off than the problem is the turn signal switch. It is grounding The purple wire from the hazard switch which makes the hazard switch think the turn signal is on. The fix for this is to relace the turn signal/multi-function switch. Typically they will start to go bad in stages. Your symptom is the first stage. Eventually either the turn signals or the brake lights will also sto working. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Turn signal clicker comes on randomly but doesn't affect lights

No the dash is the hazard light switch, it's also the turn signal flasher, dealer part only replace, replacing it will fix your problem. Feel the switch when you hear the clicking.
