81 ramcharger won't start after I replaced the coil. Checked for spark, not gettin any. Power is good to the coil on and - side. I replaced the starter relay. Anyone know where the pickup leads are located? I'm lost at this point
What was wrong in first place?why you change this that.battery, connection, fuel filter, fuel pump, check oil,
I replaced it cause the old one was leaking the fluid inside. Worked perfect I just wanted to replace it. It Gets fuel, has power at the coil, disconnected coil wire from distributer and grounded coil and checked for spark.. Didn't have any.
Did you put back right way, maybe ground fell off,i had problem with coils and I notes ground was felling off,if i do not see that Iwlil be lost.
I've checked the grounds but it can't hurt to try it again. What does the capacitor do? I have one of those going to the negative on the coil aswell. It looks a little flimsy.

this could be as simple as a bad battery have you tryed to jump start it? if you try and that dosent work make sure you have power going to the starter with jumper cables on the battery. it should at the very least make a clicking sound while trying to start it check the battery posts also make sure they are clean and if it does click give it a minute and try starting it again.[ dont take the cables off the battery while waiting] the fact the starter doesent even click when you try to start it tells me no power to it or bad starter remember just because its new dosent mean it works i cant tell you how many times i have put somethig on a car and had to take it back off because it didnt work from the boxx new. and make sure the starter wires are tight and clean. if no clicking and you have power to starter then starter is bad.. i hope this helps..

Could try the crank sensor, that is where I would start. Next would be the timing & compression.
