1981 datsun 280zx I need the wire colors coming from the frount turn singinal and parking lights

1981 datsun 280zx I need the wire colors coming from the front turn signal and parking lights there are 3 one black (negative) 1 solid green and a green with white stripe one is power for the turn signal and other is parking which is which

PLace a test light onto one of the wires and turn on the park lights. If the light works then that is the park light wire .If not switch off the parks and turn on the blinkers The light should start to blink.

SOURCE: #1 Spark plug is no burning fuel.

Either your timing chain has jumped a cog, or a valve is stuck or burnt. Best way to check the timing is with a timing light. If the mark jumps all over the place, your chain is no good. To check the valve, do a compression test. Good luck. Let me know how you make out.

did you check the gap on the spark plug? even though you buy it new sometimes the gap is off? that could make it run rough. you can also try turning the distributer to adjust the timeing but i would check the gap first? also check the gap in the cap.

Have the thermostat tested first. You can do that by observing if the fan turns on when the fan exceeds your normal running temperature. You may want to check the radiator cap it may be worn out that some steam may come out through it causing temperature to increase in the process.

Hello! I have a 1981 Datsun 280ZX Turbo and the problem Im havin is when i switch on lights the only thing will come on is the head lights! Is there a way i can fix this my self? Thanks!

Hi,
Check first the fuse for the interior lightings, if the fuse is broken replace it with the same amperage( usually 15amps. ).
If the fuse is okay, then check the light switch, the plastic cam inside might have been melted down by the metal contactors and you have to replace that part. Hope it just needs cleaning and might be disconnected wire in the light switch harness.
You have to open the steering cover to check the switch.

1983 Datsun 280zx has the sensor light on, why??

You went over 30,000 miles and it is a one time trip in the odometer. Remove the right knee panel and there is a green w/ yellow stripe wire. Unplug it. The sensor light should go out.
