Hello, I would like someone to tell me where i can find the inertia switch on a 2004 Jetta? I replaced all the crashed parts but the car won't start.

The problem is almost certainly only a bad connection at the back of
the headlight unit. Have the 3 pin plug and terminals replaced...fit a
new bulb, and check the earth connection and all should be well.

Have VW check it out. I had just got my 04 GLI with 70,000 miles when the light came on. The thermostat triggered the light and so I had the whole timing belt, thermostat, and water pump service. Worth the money.

Could be sepentine or timing belt.
More than likely a tensioner for serp belt or timing belt. It could also be the pulley for the alternator - a pretty common problem for VW's.

crank position sensor maybe?
Hello! I don't see a connection between the headlight issue and not starting...However I definitely see a connection with the accident and not starting...When you say "not starting" do you mean the starter doesn't crank the engine or it does crank the engine but won't start? Do you have a meter and a wee bit of experience using one? If you do we can isolate this fault together...Send a comment...Guru...Saailer
