Sorry no inertia switch. When VW crashes, airbags go and safety belts strain gauges go. It comes as a Kit from VW. After replacement, crash error need to be erase from memory with diagnostic tester. See how to it at http://volkswagen-polo-highline.blogspot.com

SOURCE: Headlight issues in 2004 Volkswagen Jetta

The problem is almost certainly only a bad connection at the back of the headlight unit. Have the 3 pin plug and terminals replaced...fit a new bulb, and check the earth connection and all should be well.

SOURCE: Hello - I just bought a 2004 Jetta - day one - MIL...

Have VW check it out. I had just got my 04 GLI with 70,000 miles when the light came on. The thermostat triggered the light and so I had the whole timing belt, thermostat, and water pump service. Worth the money.

Could be sepentine or timing belt.
More than likely a tensioner for serp belt or timing belt. It could also be the pulley for the alternator - a pretty common problem for VW's.

1997 Jetta fuel kill switch

there is not one. If there is no power to the pump it will be either a fuse, realy, wiring or computer issue. If there is power to the pump but no fuel Pressure than the pump has likely failed.

2004 Honda Odyssey won't start or try to turn

You tried it in neutral but did you take it out of park and force it back into park? Just a suggestion since sometimes the switch that tells it that it is in park needs a bit of a nudge sometimes.

I have 2008 Sprinter 2500 (3.0 diesel) . it's been in an accident, after i fixed it, it won't start. Something doesn't let it do it. Does anybody know if I should reset the whole system at

the sensor keeping it from starting it is an inertia switch. it is a safety feature in case the vehicle rolls or is wrecked etc... it cuts the power to the fuel pump. generally it is located in the trunk of cars or in your case probably near the kick panel on the passenger side. usually has a button to pus to reset

Headlights won't go off

Hello! I don't see a connection between the headlight issue and not starting...However I definitely see a connection with the accident and not starting...When you say "not starting" do you mean the starter doesn't crank the engine or it does crank the engine but won't start? Do you have a meter and a wee bit of experience using one? If you do we can isolate this fault together...Send a comment...Guru...Saailer

Hit from rear now car won't start

Ford products have an inertia switch to cut power to the pump in a wreck, I don't show a switch between the pump and the relay on a Chrysler.
If you have no fuel pressure you may have damaged the pump in the tank. A mechanic would check for voltage at the ASD relay in the engine compartment and then at the gas tank connector.

Car won't start

Hello, I usually work on Ford family brands, but I can tell you that some Vehicles have a fuel pump safety cutoff switch that can be reset with the push of a button. You can find out what your car has by checking with Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys autoparts and asking for an Inertia switch.
It sounds like your car is not getting gas and that means either the fuelpump is bad or the power is switched off at the Inertia switch. There is another part called a TPS(throttle position sensor) which controls the fuel to the engine.
If you have a "check Engine" light or a "wrench design" showing on the dash, it means the car knows what is wrong and a scanner needs to be hooked up to it. Then the car will tell the scanner what is broken.
The Inertia switch(if equipped) can be tripped by closing the trunklid or door at just the right frequency to break the connection to the fuelpump. You should be able to hear the fuelpump pressurize the system within 1-2 seconds of turning the key on.

Can not really tell you much more that you can do without you having pressure gauges or a scanner of your own.

What can i do to start my car? if someone tryed stealing my car? didn't get it but nw my car won't start. what can be done about this problem

Hello, Many times a fuel safety feature called an "Inertia sensor" will activate when a door or the trunk lid is closed hard enough to trip this sensor. You should find the sensor in the trunk on the Drivers' side of the car. The switch will be behind the carpeting and all you need to do is press a button on the switch to reset it. After doing that, your car should start if that was the problem.

If someone tried to use the wrong car key from another Ford product, then this can mess up the Security codes in the Anti-theft system. Should someone have tried to use the wrong key, you will need to tow the car to a Dealer for a reboot of the Security system.

I hope my solution is helpful to you.

Just changed oil in 2004 Volkswagen jetta. now car won't startled

Are you absolutely sure that you put the right weight oil back in the car? These cars are very sensative to this and if it doesn't see the correct oil pressure it won't start beacause it uses oil pressure to fire the fuel injectors. You need to be using 505.01 oil in your car only. Anything else can cause a no start or major engine damage!
