It's cutting off while i'm driving , some times more then other times and at times when it starts to cut off it pick back up and keeps runing. but at times its really bad that i cant drive it,and the dash display reads starting disabling remove key and why would it say remove key while the car is coasting?

take the chip out of the old key and then remove the shroud around steering column and tape the old key or the chip out of it to the transponder reader and make sure you destroy or remove the chip in the new key and then it should go ok

I had the same problem with my CTS. I took it to my car guy andhe could not get any codes, so he took it to a tranny guy and he had the same problem. I finally took it to the dealer,, and the Power Control Module was bad. It is under a recall for ten years 80,000 miles

I used a technique from another forum to determine if it was the computer and to get to start so I could get to a dealer. Try to start the vehicle (it won't) and then leave it in the on position for 10 full minutes. turn it to off and repeat this three times. After 3 attempts, with the ignition left in the on position each time for 10 minutes - go ahead and turn off for 5-10 seconds or so and then try to start it. If it starts - you may want to take it directly to the dealer, as something caused it to lose memory and what you have done is reprogrammed that key to the car. Good Luck - It just worked for me.
