After driving for a while when I come to a light or even go to slow down it stalls. I can get it started by spraying starting fluid into the Carborated Throttle Body... Any Ideas
If you don't have an engine light on, it could be a partly clogged fuel filter, or water in your fuel. It also could be faulty plugs or wires, or a vacuum leak at the throttle body, intake manifold, or vacuum hoses. There were plenty of problems with intake gaskets on those trucks. If it is that that is the problem, make sure you don't buy the cheap ones to replace them with.

i agree with the fuel pump problem this is quite common with these trucks. but the fuel injectors on this motor are not accesable without removing the plenun and they are not standard fuel rail injectors so you can not test as earlier instructed.

Check fuel flter at fuel pick-up intank (looks like a small wire sock). Remove fuel filter and fitting at fuel rail. Blow out fuel lines w/about 35lbs air press. Ck electrical @ relay - should be 4 connectors - one is key on hot/one is always hot/one is ground and last is hot to fuel pump. Good Luck

hello, i hope this helps, it sounds like an open relay (bad relay). try swithcing fuel pump relay with AC relay and retest..if no sucess, feel free to reply and ill try to E-DIAGNOSE it for ya...lol.......good luck, marty

I have replaced many injector driver modules on these diesels. GM has redesigned it and i have never had a replacement one fail. This is a known problem for the 6.5 diesel. Unfortunately its about a 500 dollar part from the dealer, and requires intake removal, and some very tight work space to replace.
